Half their starters gone, including Higgins? They'll be hard pressed to repeat 6-5. Just my :twocents:

The entire o-line returning, 9 of the 11 defensive starters returning, a competent QB in Hoke, and a good recruiting class.

I think Weber will suprise some people, My prediction for Weber this year, 7-4 and going to the playoffs.

Losses to Wyo, USU, EWU, UM
Wins against UNC, ISU, SUU, MSU, PSU, CSUS, NAU

Maybe, maybe not, Its possible, only once in the 5 year series has a game been won by more than 8 points.

2010: 50-47 (4OT) WSU win
2009: 28-20 WSU win
2008: 17-10 WSU win
2007: 23-0 WSU win
2006: 26-21 WSU win

I just couldn't help that, thinking back to that horrible game last year, and the fact I sat inside on a beautiful fall hunting day to watch that stinker. :ohno:

Yeah it was and wasnt a bad game, it was a piss poor played game by both teams, but it was in all actuallity quite entertaining to watch, especially if you were there like I was

Not to mention how often do you get to see 4 overtimes and a 30 minute delay because the lights go out in person?

The Wildcats will not beat the Hornets this season, doesnt matter that the game is in Ogden. Not with Sac State having 17 starters returning from a team that beat the Wildcats last season.

It's funny how Weber fans write Sac State off as a win, same as they did they did last season.

Weber WILL NOT make the playoffs or even place in the top three in the BSC this season, not saying Sac will, just saying Weber will not.

We'll see, Im not writing off Sac, it will be a very hard fought game, with the edge going to Weber because the game is in Ogden, Your writing off Weber even though you have no idea what Weber will be like, so who's writing off who?

FYI, Weber was picked to finish 6th place in 08, and we all know what happened that year.

Herky. If it makes you feel good, I'm a Lumberjacks fan and I'm sick of playing the Hornets. Four of the last six games Lumberjacks-Hornets games have been either brutally ugly or heartbreaking losses. I don't plan on writing Sacramento State off one bit. Hornets are my dark horse Big Sky team to challenge EWU/MSU/UM and make a playoff push. Make it through those first four or so games with minimal damage and Hornets have a shot. Big Sky Conference is getting better.

Getting tired of the last minute and brutally ugly losses to Weber State as well, Wildcat Ryan. Like I said, Big Sky's getting better. There are few gimmies anymore and ISU/Northern Colorado/PSU have nowhere to go but up.

I dont think there any gimmies, Everyone of Weber's 11 games are gonna be fist fights, Weber will not get one "easy win" this year.

And as I told SDHornet, the only reason Im picking Weber to beat Sac is because the game is in Ogden. Its not like Im saying they are going to destroy them. And I have yet to see any Weber fan say that Sac is gonna be an easy write off game, the ones I talk to on the Weber forum all say Sac is gonna be as tough as heck.

And if anybody should be hating Weber, I would say it would have to be UNC Bears fans

The BSC is going to be brutal this year for sure, all of the teams have improved. I wouldnt be surprised to see some UNC upsets either, they have a lot of guys returning.

Good luck to both your guys' programs.

Its true, this year's Big Sky Champ will not go undefeated in conference this year.

Good luck to Sac as well, If Sac ends up beating Weber out for a playoff bid, then I hope Sac represents the Sky well as well as the other BSC playoff entrees

Yep, that's going to be my prediction as well...EWU, MSU and UM to the playoffs. With Eastern playing UM and MSU in September, the teams will have to be playing well early.

I think there's plenty of potential for upsets in the Big Sky this year. Sac may very well be a playoff team this year, and Weber always plays tough. I expect the rest of the conference to be improved.

Now if only we could get the two Universities to get more serious about this rivalry, a traveling trophy would be awesome.

And Im sorry, but ISU is GOIN' DOWN 8-)

Also, thank you for your service.

I am still in Eastern Afghanistan for a bit longer. I will get back a couple days to a week before the game. I have several members of my unit that attend WSU as our unit is from Ogden. We are taking the rivalry serious I just wish everyone would. I hope we can get the rivalry going between the schools. I think that I might have to take the lead and just have a trophy made. New coach new system ISU 24- WSU 21

ISU- new coach, new system=

Weber 28
ISU 17

I really enjoy rivalry games, they are always the funnest ones to watch. And the ISU faithful always represent well when the Bengals travel down to Ogden. Here's to a fun, entertaining, Injury-less (even though it will most likely be the last game for both schools) Railroad Rumble
