OK - officially jealous - I'm a LSU fan & have always wanted to goto a game there - supposedly best tailgating in the country. I've been to Baton Rouge & inside Tiger Stadium but never for a game. You guys play LSU & we play West Chester, DelState & Bucknell, ugh.

What would the spread in that game be? Could LSU hit 100?

Got my hands on an advance copy of the LSU 2012 scouting report:

Strengths: Offense, Defense, Special Teams, Coaching, Cheerleaders, Home Field Advantage ("12th Man")

Weaknesses: Strength of Schedule

Actually I'd rather do both. And besides, when is the last time you've made it to the Tub in December? Every week I see your excuses about not making games. I was there for all 3 home playoff games last year - met 93henfan at both the UNH & GSU games, sitting in the cold ass weather for both. Hope your HD came in well for both games....

Road Trip! At least I know I won't have a problem getting tickets.

Why the hate? I was at the GSU game. I've also been to playoff games against SIU, Wofford, Lafayette and DelSt in the last several years.

I don't like this at all. LSU is a very, very phsyical team that can smash a lower-tier CAA team by simply running the ball and playing effective defense/special teams. It's bad for the FCS in my opinion. I think you need a competitive FCS opponent like Georgia Southern or Appalachian State to get the intrigue factor. LSU's law school team could play for Towson.

Taken from the other board, it is kind of interesting that LSU is paying an out of state FCS team to come in to play when they have a whole bunch of financially struggling FCS teams in their own state that they could play and beat just as badly.

LSU doesn't deal with in-state FCS schools, other than playing McNeese last year and Northwestern St in the 40's.

LSU didn't get the memo about the NDSU Model.

If I sound like I'm being mean to Towson and/or LSU, you should see the scorn I reserve for Charlotte's administration. Charlotte should have had football a decade ago and would have been positioned for Big East expansion, even with a mediocre program.

Alums have been complaining about Charlotte's lack of university support for a long time, but only when advertising for football goes up, does the initiative and support arrive. It's terrible leadership..........not surprising for a "branch" university supported by tax dollars.

What's the outlook? I'd say Charlotte gets good fast or we'll be stuck picking leftover recruits from Presbyterian, Gardner-Webb, and VMI. There is a lot of football in the state of North Carolina -- Duke, UNC, NC State, Wake Forest, East Carolina, App State, ECU, UNC-Pembroke, Davidson, Wingate, Campbell. I just worry that the time has passed for 49ers Football to become something meaningful in-state.



Sometimes, you just wonder how some of these people became athletic directors or university leaders in the first place. Such poor vision.
