Bleacher Report: 50 Bucket List Stadiums

Montana is the highest ranking FCS stadium at #7, and rightly so. But what torques my jaws are that the only other FCS stadia on the list are Ivies, and there are a couple of D-II schools with their gems on it, too. Heck, Pittsburg State is #1. What about App? I've heard that they have a nice place. And after touting Boise's garish blue monster at 25, where is EWU?!? Yes, it's hard to argue with any one site on the list, but some more recognition of the fine institution of FCS Football would have been nice. (And, no, I'm not looking to recognize the erector set nightmare known as Hornet Stadium. Ugh!)

Anyways, here's their list. You can link over to catch their excuses. Thanks to Chris for posting this on FB. (Naturally, he was touting the placement of WA/Griz on the list.)

You do realize you flipped the list, right?

If that was really the top ten of any list, I'd have to immediately question its criteria.

They specifically mentioned in their excuses that MI was "low" for several reasons. So I'm led to believe that this is the "correct" (i.e. not the "Letterman") order.

BTW, where is Delaware? I'm told that you guys have an excellent stadium.

Our stadium is nice for FCS, but admittedly not remarkable enough to make a top 50 list for all of college football. I still think it would knock the snot out of the two token D-II schools listed in a head-to-head matchup though. The Tub is a very loud stadium. The first rows are closer and higher than just about anywhere else in FCS and the pitch of the stands is fairly severe (pre-ADA construction), which lends itself to quite the gameday atmosphere.

I have no issue with Montana making the list. I also would have had no issue with Appy or Delaware sneaking in.

Well, a couple of problems as of August 1, 2011:

1. You haven't played a game in the "new" Bridgeforth.
2. It's half a really nice stadium.
3. Will you be able to sell it out every game?
4. Is it really a top-tier FCS stadium or a soon-to-be average FBS stadium?

Get back to us. :coffee:

Bleacher report always do these in reverse. First one shown is #50 etc. Do you really believe they would have Pittsburgh State as #1 ?

I think stadiums should get ranked down if they have a track between them and the football field. Griz fans sit right on top of the field.

Why isn't JBB or lakesbison on here telling bleacher report they need to eFF off because the Fargo Dome isn't on listed? Hell the Fargo Dome doesn't even belong to NDSU.

You don't have a football stadium.

Seriously though, how hard would it be to go the schools athletics site, or google it for gods sake.

Oh well, I shouldn't be bitching anyway.

The guy that wrote this is a GVSU grad, which explains a few things about this list.
