Noticed the new design during watching CAA Media Day Live on ESPN3. Gotta say its a lot better than the old design....

Not bad. Definitely better.

I hope this goes the same with their unis as well. I like the new contrast of colors.

nothing against schools like JMU or anybody else but IMO its better than purple.

FYI to the newby ODU fans, but that helmet is two years old.
The helmet used in '09 and '10 is light blue with white horns, which is a million times worse than the white and light of previous years. The dark blue and light blue horns is an improvement of epic proportions.
I liked the white helmet with bumpy thin horns that I played against in the early 90's the best.

The old brown and light blue stadium was always confusing to me.

As a trim color it's ok. As the primary color of the uniform....totally gaywad.

Any why the fuck was RI throwing the ball with the lead late in the game near (in?) the redzone?

I just happy to have that game on vid, I was in the stands that day (drank a lot of schnapps) and hadn't ever seen that game on video although it was televised in state, a few years back I found it on NCAA DVD's and was able to buy a copy. Somebody did this youtube vid when the 84 team paid for the turf at Bobcat stadium.

They were only up by a few points and it would not have been a good idea to let off the gas against that Cat team, I think they wanted to finish us off, and we had a pretty solid run D and if I remember right passing was about all RI could do against us. The Cats came from behind late in almost every game that year except the NC, the original "Cardiac Cats"

I'm not sure why so many people hate the light blue.

+1. Its not one of my favorites but if they pair it up with a darker blue I think it looks a lot better.

It seems like people always give URI crap about the blue, but never call out El Cid.

My HS colors were Navy Blue and Columbia blue, so I like the combo. We had all navy uniforms and helmets with white and light blue numbers and lettering. I saw a picture of them from last year, all light blue, they looked like bundles of sticks.
