How much research does Phil Steele put into conference preseason players? I'm curious because he had two of Stony Brook's BCS transfers on the all conference team. Is that just based on them coming from acc schools or does he watch their acc film and talk to the coaches about them?

Probably all hype from coming out of the ACC which i find to be one of the worst FBS conferences

CAA actually but they are both very good (if youre referring to the running backs)

Jackolski and Maysonet absolutely deserve to be on the all conference team (as does Gowins but that is another story). I'm surprised he placed Kabongo (Maryland) and Mulrooney (BC) on the all conference team considering neither has played a game in the Big South yet. Both could be very good but are unproven quantities thus far.

Today we just added a big offensive guard-transfer from Pitt. We will have a different look for sure this season.

Well, I saw some pubs today that said good things about Brown and Chapman. Not so much about Rocco. I wonder why.

free bump since media day is tomorrow...
Oh and I dont see why you feel the need to rag on Liberty since a) youre a fan of Sacramento State b) the two arent even on the same coast much less the same conference c) you guys wouldnt even want to play Liberty anyway...

Hey guys, head over to
http://www.flamefans.com" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and give us your conference predictions. If you get your pick in prior to the release of the poll at media day tomorrow afternoon, I will include it in the tally and have a "flamefans.com preseason poll." I would love to get some votes other than all of us homers at LU. Thanks.

Seriously, I think CSU is ranked to high.

I opened it up to CCU, VMI, and Presby's board, as well as on here trying to alleviate the homerism. Can't help only 1 VMI and 1 PC fan out of all those voted.
