Well we are less than 60 days away from the 2011 opener... Let's get some love for the Missouri Valley Football Conference on here!

Predict The League!

UNI
SIU
NDSU
YSU
ISUb
ISUr
SDSU
WIU
MSU

Top three for me could easily go back and forth depending on who wins in the head to head (obviously) but what I'm saying is that it'll be between UNI, SIU and NDSU throughout the season...Youngstown not far behind IMO. If NDSU plays to their potential and Jensen comes through as a reliable QB, AND NO MAJOR INJURIES, I do believe NDSU takes the crown then.

Three playoff teams again this year and a better looking conference all around from last year. I'm really excited for this upcoming season!!

I agree for the most part. UNI, NDSU, SIU at the top. YSU right after that group, will be a good team, and both ISU's will be decent.

Personally, I don't see MSU finishing last. Don't see them finishing in the top half either.

Our defense CANNOT be any worse than it was last year and our offense should actually be better even with a new QB. We will definitely take our lumps in non-conference with Oregon and Arkansas but hoping that we can get 3-4 conference wins. Don't know if that will be enough to save TA's job or not but it should keep us out of the cellar.

Nice write-up on the QB situation in the MVFC by Kyle Roth, a rising star in BISON Media:
A multitude of examples come to mind when pondering the question of the immediate future of the quarterback in the Missouri Valley. Some, like Tirrell Rennie of Northern Iowa and Ronnie Fouch of Indiana State, head into 2011 as seniors after a transfer season, each coming off of a remarkable 2010 campaign that saw Rennie lead the Panthers to a first-place finish in the conference with a powerful defense to match his explosive running attack.

UNI
SIU
NDSU
ISUr
ISUb
SDSU
MSU
YSU

I see it as 3 tiers this year, inside these groups I wouldn't be surprised to see any arrangement of teams.

Contenders for 1st:
UNI, SIU, NDSU

Contenders for 4th:
ISUs

Contenders for 6th:
SDSU, MSU, YSU

UNI has to be the favorite, defending champion, and winner of 15 conference championships.

The rest could end up in any position.

We are going to be posting an article with our predictions from Youngstown in the next week or so... Thinking YSU can get between min/max of 6-8 wins. Defense should be filled with the depth to close games out with a number of JUCO All-Americans, a transfer CB from The U, and another local transfer that was committed to play for Syracuse.

WR position has talent, but nobody has stepped up there. That can kill our offense this year, which will be a load again at running back....

We shall see.

Davont'a Davis from the University of Miami, FL.

Had some very nice offers, including South Carolina where Coach Wolford last coached under Steve Spurrier!

Yea it was. The entire o-line is back from last year, on top of having kool back in the backfield, dale moss to bolster the wide-outs with some athletisism, and if TOB plays like he has, he won't be starting past that first game. :coffee: We're gunna surprise some people this year from the looks of the predictions.
