Just as a sidenote, Liberty hasnt lost to a conference foe at home since 2006 (and has outscored conference teams 520-176 the last four seasons...not counting the Presby result from 2007 as they were not a conference member at the time and that game did not count toward the standings)

Still Coastal has a great offense and defense this year. may surprise some people. hopefully i can make the trek up to Lynchburg this year

I dont doubt it (judging by the last two meetings in Conway), I just dont think that LU is gonna drop one at home...and CCU hasnt won in Lynchburg since 2005 (and got beat 58-13 their last trip to the mountain...which also happened to be the homecoming game...LU hasnt lost on Alumni weekend since 2006 either)

Gardner-Webb will certainly have an interesting season this year under new HC Coach Dickerson, but I don't believe it will be a losing season. The level of intensity at spring practice and summer workouts has been a tremendous improvement. I'm confident that our guys won't fizzle out as the season heads into November. We also bring back numerous players with significant playing experience from past year who believe they have to convince the new staff that they should be starting. Add all of this to the fact that no BS coach knows what we are going to be throwing at them and it all points to a very interesting season for the Runnin' Bulldogs.
It's always difficult to project what a team will do under a new coach, but I for one am really excited. I don't see us being owned by Liberty, Stony Brook and Coastal as in year's past. It may take GW a couple of years to get all of the pieces in place, but I really see us having an opportunity to be competitive this year in the Big South.
Go Runnin' Bulldogs!

3-7 could certainly be very fluid with the fact that there have been major changes just about everywhere (except Presbyterian and VMI) on offense so there is certainly a chance for someone to sneak up in that 3 spot, but pretty much if anyone wants the AQ theyll have to beat Liberty or SBU to do it (and probably both of them)

Thanks for the chuckle McV. Believe it or not, I had a classmate who lost this piece of his Shako and actually spray painted a corn dog from lunch to replace it rather than spend $10.00 for a new one. No one ever knew the difference.
Go Runnin' Bulldogs!

Just wanted you to get a peek at the Silver Shako.
I know what it looks like, and it'll be on the bus back to Lexington, about 1800 hours on 29 Oct.

I don't see Stony Brook losing to Lafayette on homecoming and I think Stony Brook should be the favored over Liberty - Liberty's never beaten Stony Brook at home

. I might be a homer but I think Stony Brook wins at least 8 games this season with one disappointing loss.

My philosophy is to not use never in tha case of a matchup of two teams until it has happened three or more times in succession but that's my philosophy. Liberty will be coming off a bye week and Liberty has won 4 in a row off a bye week (and won two of those scoring 50+ points)
