The woman leaves for Portland tomorrow morning for a week for Lasik surgery and to see her sister. She wants to watch the game in a Griz bar in the Portland area. Does anybody know of a good one or two that she could hit up to watch the game?

What area of town does the sister live? I'd advise staying out of dtown unless she gets there early, and don't forget the university's on break so all the areas around campus are either closed or a ghost town.

Maybe that where she is actually going and not flying out to Portland. Oh and FYI, it is slick as hell in town and -26 with wind chill right now.

I heard of one place to go. On Deck Sports Bar and Grill. It's address is 910 NW 14th. I cannot think of the town she will be near but she said she has to watch the game amongst friends.

I told her that, but this is the only week she could get in to have her eyes done at the sweet discount because this is her sisters last week there. You gotta do what you gotta do. And I gotta watch some football in Missoula and witness the, as AZ says, HYSTERIA first hand.

So, why aren't you taking that "sweet discount" and spending it on a trip to Chattanooga? :D

Sorry 'bout delay. Assuming dtown, Cheerful Tortoise is next to campus about two blocks east of Stott Center (fball offices), I've eaten there a few times, has good food, is reasonably priced, and even though the school's on break...there's a contingency of apartment dwellers surrounding the area that keep if pretty busy 365 24/7. The owner also has a place about a block east of PGE Park called the Cheerful Bullpen...a little newer and just refurbished.

See if you can find out a closer zone...driving dtown's a PITA, and parking around the stadium is ESPECIALLY difficult (parking Nazi's in Portland are legendary...so be careful...although around Stott/Tortoise you can usually find something within a block or two), i.e., Gresham, Tigard, Beaverton, Lake Oswego/Oregon City, Tualatin, etc...
