Very glad I found this, both these guys deserve it and are help fueling the excitement that is building in Cedar City for this years upcoming team. Ever since Lamb has taken over I feel that this is one of our best shots to get a crack at the FCS playoffs, more importantly it will be a year to show the Big Sky that we truly belong and are now a good team in the FCS ranks, cant wait for a great season and GO T-Birds!
CEDAR CITY, Utah, June 20 – Southern Utah University’s Brad Sorensen and Tyler Osborne have earned pre-season All-America honors from Consensus Draft Services, the organization annouced today. Sorensen was named the second-team quarterback while Osborne earned honorable mention as a linebacker.

Not a shocker there, Sorensen is a great player.

I think thats exactly what the Big Sky needs. I would love to see the Thunderbirds at the top of the heep there! In fact, being a fan of a charter member of the GWC, I would love to see any GWC team roll over the Big Sky. Yes Slo Stang, even Cal Poly.
SUU has been building the program and Im not surprised to see the talent getting recognized.

Southern Utah had one of those front loaded schedules where they didn't play well early last year, but by the end of the season, they were a force. EWU played better against Southern Utah than we did most other teams on our schedule and needed a miracle catch to keep the game from going to OT on our own field.
Some will argue, I'm sure, but we played a lot better against SUU than we did in some "bigger" wins like Montana and ND State. Had we made one mistake against Southern Utah, they'd have beaten us.
Most will call James Madison the best 6-5 team from last year, and I wouldn't say they are wrong, but Southern Utah is at best #2. They would've been a handful for any of the top teams at the end of last season.
