Wilkins, a two-time Monarch Football captain, started all 11 games at linebacker in 2010 having moved from safety as a freshman. Wilkins went on to lead ODU in tackles with 74 (35 solo, 39 assisted), including making five or more stops in 10 of the Monarchs' 11 games. The Washington, D.C. product posted a career-high 11 tackles against #14/16 Cal Poly and also had 10 stops, including nine solo tackles, in the season-finale at N.C. Central.

Wilkins also led the Monarchs with five fumble recoveries, including a pair in the Homecoming Game with Georgia State. He was third on the squad in tackles for loss making 10.5 stops for a loss of 39 yards and forced two fumbles - at Monmouth and against future CAA opponent Georgia State, along with 2.5 sacks and a pair of QB hurries. Wilkins also captured the Monarchs' second-ever pick six with a 25-yard interception for a score against Savannah State.

Wilkins is the fourth Monarch to be named to a College Football Performance Award Watch List. Thomas DeMarco was named to the quarterbacks watch list in mid-May, while Prentice Gill was named to the wide receivers watch list and Ronnie Cameron was added to the defensive tackle watch list in early June.
