Favorite play in 2010?

Okay, so I'm jonesing hard for some football right now after watching some videos that Ranger posted on The Red Zone(?).

So what is/are your favorite play(s) from 2010?

For me, every run by TJ that he took it to the house was fucking awesome, but there's one play that's pretty damn incredible. Nic Edwards 4th and 10 catch against the prairie cows. He let's that ball bounce off his hand and fall to the ground, the game and season are over. But he reached out and brought it back in while falling to the ground, making it likely the most important play of our season.

That whole video is awesome by the way. LOVE it.

That catch to put you guys ahead deep in the end zone to my right, Kalm's left, was hands down your play of the season. And fuck it too.

IMHO, the play at 6:30 to 6:38 of the below video was Delaware's best of the year. A great play call and easy pickins:

Atkins catch at the end of this game was my favorite for us from last year.

I'm going to go off on a tangent here. These are my three favorite plays that I SAW in 2010. (No, they didn't actually HAPPEN in 2010.)

Fast forward to 4:20 on this one.

And here are two honorable mentions:

Kinda hard to see since it seems to come from a handcam, but still pretty awesome.

Kaufman's a beast and catches almost everything coming his way, but I'm excited for Mitchell's brother Cory who redshirted last year. He caught almost everything that went his way during the spring, and made some SICK grabs, including a one handed TD catch off-balance during one of the last two scrimmages. Our WR corps is gonna be real good this year. No chemistry curve for BLM either, so hopefully a lot less overthrows and INTs to start off 2011.

I'd still go with Edwards' 4th and 10 catch though, because without it, Kauf wouldn't have had a chance to catch the game winner in the NC.

Congrats, you have failed at a simple task.

For me, it was Presley's throw to himself for a 35-yard touchdown to go up on UTC. The center snapped the ball when UTC jumped offsides, Presley threw a quick side route to Cline, who got gang tackled and fumbled the ball. Presley had ran over to help block, picked up the ball, ran opposite field 35 yards for a go-ahead TD (fourth TD in eight minutes after being down 35-14). And that's when we stopped doubting him ever again.

It's the first play they show - a little tough to see what happened.

It would have to be Laron Scott's int against app. State. App. was about to take a 21-0 lead in the first quarter and we took the ball away. Then we shut them out the rest of the game and managed to score two touchdowns to take it to OT. Then we won in OT and that would take us all the way to the national semis.

Agreed that it's hard to see. But from what little I saw, it was clear that had someone been able to get hold of a sideline view (heck, even the end zone shot would have been good), it would have been something to see and would have beat out several of the historic ones I put up. Had I been the DC there, I would have cr@pped my pants because even if you stop that QB after he picks up the ball, you're not going to get it because of the offside; it was a free play for the offense. Way too many QBs see that and take a knee knowing they're getting the five free yards. No, you take your chances on the play as the App guy did here. These are the results you can get for no real risk. Great job here, ASU.

My favorite Southern play was a part of the most frustrating, mind numbing loss I've ever witnessed. Two game winning TDs in the final 3 minutes. I'll let this video speak for itself. Start at 1:26 mark.

McNeese had quite a few good plays that I liked, but one of my favorites happened in the LSU game.

Jace Peterson (who was just taken in the first round of the Major League Baseball Draft by San Diego) sacks Jordan Jefferson and causes a fumble the McNeese recovers in the redzone. Three plays later Qb Cody Stroud hits Wr Damien Dixon on a slant route in the endzone to give McNeese a 7-0. This quieted the crowd in Tiger Stadium. But it had one other big significance for McNeese fans. Our ex-most-hated rivals, who have only agreed to play us once in the last 24 years, the USL....uh....ULL....uh.....UL whatever the hell the call themselves now..Ragin Cajuns, in all their trips to play LSU, have never ever scored a TD in Tiger Stadium. One of those rivalry type things.

I have to admit, it kinda freaks me out to see that near my name. I'm not sure I can keep it up. ;)

Did you have to resize your Weiner? It looks pretty small.

I believe USL only kicked two fieldgoals in 1924. According to the LSU Sports Information Department, USL has never, ever, scored a TD in Tiger Stadium, despite 22 games.....that's 88 quarters or 1,320 minutes of football.

It took McNeese all of about 7 minutes into the first quarter to score a TD...then, after LSU evened the game, we drove down and kicked a fieldgoal to retake the lead on the 5th ranked BCS team in the country...

Granted, this isn't on the scale of App State's upset of then #5 Michigan, but...c'mon, it's L-S-effing U!

Any time you put points on an SEC team it's something to feel pretty good about.
