Very nice - any word on capacity?

Very nice stadium. It almost has a baseball stadium feel to it with how the back of the structure and the concourse are laid out.

Are they demolishing the Crampton Bowl or is the new stadium going to be at a new location? Lots of good memories of the Crampton Bowl growing up... though, it is a POS.

I believe the new stadium will be on campus and Crampton Bowl will still stand.

What are the vitals on Alabama State? I confess ignorance.

Do they have a fanbase, or potential support network to make this thing work? I would think the Alabama population was pretty well satiated between the Tide, AU, & UAB. What am I missing here?

HBCU's

This stadium is built so that the football team can perform before and after the marching bands that everyone is actually there to see.

also - we white boys know little about the mysterious ways of HBCU's and their remarkable attendance and not playing in the playoffs... they are shrouded in mystery...

If you're a fan of college football.. you should try to go to at least one of the "classic" games at some point.

So this doesn't have anything to do with playing 1A football or for fans that regularly support Alabama State, but is being built solely for 'classics'?
