Any poll with Montana in the top 20 is BS. Lots of problems with this poll each year.

Cap n Cat,
Good question. I am not suprised to not see your second favorite Valley team not in this...I will say this, I don't think your team speed will be as big of problem for us at least I hope

Sporting News is a complete joke, they must have picked teams out of a hat. Seriously Murray State at 14....they were 5-6 last year in the OVC.

There are some serious flaws in both of these.... Cal Poly not being in the top 25 is unlikely. SUU will have a top 25 team this year as well.

Yeah. SUU will be in the Top 25 right up until Week 2. Their season will officially be in the crapper after their huge Week 2 loss.

Appy at 1 is hilarious. They lose a ton from a team that couldn't beat anyone worth note.

Your deal with SUU is like JBB with UND or Bill Fette.
Someday you're gonna have to face the fact that SUU is a good team right now, and on par with SAC, possible better. Their QB will have an NFL career, I'm sure of it.

I'd disagree. Overrated for sure, but they can beat a fair amount of FCS top 25 with Preseley and some of their receivers at the helm. That kid's impressed me... I was of the ilk that they should've kept him at QB instead of switching him to WR a year or two ago. He's very similar to Armanti.
Eastern's got a commit from CA (we seem to strike gold down there for the position) Vernon Adams (6-0, 180) that will likely redshirt in the fall who is kind of similar to those QBs in that he's the Mike Vick type that can take off and scoot; half QB and half RB. EWU's never really had a QB like that, we've always been the accurate, smart pocket passer with a little bit of athleticism. I'm curious to find out how he can do in a game situation. Maybe he'll get a chance to compete and not redshirt next year, which would be cool.

SE what makes UNI at 4 overrated, but not at 7? I'm not spaying I disagree 4 may be too high to start, just seems like a pretty small window. At what point would you consider them underrated?

"Couldn't beat anyone worth note" is an interesting way to say it.
"2010 SoCon Champs" is also another way to phrase it.

Montana and UNI too low in both.
NDSU too high in the first one, and okay in the second.

FWIW, I think Delaware at 4 is overrated, but 8 is OK. IMO there's a difference between Top 10 and Top 5. It is a narrow window and somewhat arbitrary, but when you talk about Top 5, that's a realllly high expectation. You can go 8-3, win a first round game and be Top 10. Top 5 means you either went 9-2 or made the semis.

Couldn't agree more. After all, we're turning over the starting QB.
