This'll be 4 transfers who are expected to start vs. Dook on 9/3..........I don't think UR had any 1-A guys on their N.C. team...........(hope Delaware & Liberty don't get jealous ;) )

Capitol U seems to be stockpiling these guys. Do they have depth issues or just scooping up avaliable talent to complement what they already have?

UR had depth issues last year, and they needed some help. Not sure TE was necessarily a high priority for a transfer, but he should help.

UR had good talent last year, but their depth resembled that of the CSA in 1864...

Richmond's going to give UMass a run for their money as holders of the Transfer U title.

so you're telling me that they killed more yankees in four weeks than they had in their entire army?

And still went on to a crushing season finale, just like the Rebs did? Yup.

Never was, at least not measured by quantity. Measured by quality instead? Yeah, that would fit.

Precisely the reason for picking '64. They still had enough to win some good battles, but not enough to finish strong...

Probably a bit of both

Corp - QB from USC replaces our 4-year, NC winning starter. Talent + depth issues at the QB position made him a fit

Muldrow - OL from Rutgers, we were very thin on the OL (kid just graduated, will play one more year)

Cooper - Safety from Georgia Tech. We were thin at the safety position, this kid is a potential game changer with his speed and size

Tallman - new TE from Miami - we'll see about him, but we definitely needed another blocking TE

For every FBS transfer accepted by UR, "we turn down 10," Scott said. "We're very selective about who we take."

He emphasized that Spiders coaches do not reach out to potential FBS transfers. They contact UR

Where's you come up with these #s?

Actually for JMU its 7 if you include the walkon from Penn State. Could be as little as 2 and as many as 5 starting:
-DT Nick Emmons, 7th? yr Sr, Army
-05' Army prep?,
-06' Fr Army,
-07' Soph Army started half the season,
-08' Jr Army, started 1st game & left West Point?,
-09' Sr JMU redshirt due to transfer issue, close to 4.0 student
-10' rSr JMU started 1st 2 games, out for season, med redshirt
-11' rrSr projected to start DT
-DT Lamar Middleton, rSr Syracuse, started most of last season after Emmons went down, projected starter at DT
-FS Ryan Smith, RJr, Marshall, 2 deep FS last season, started a couple games at CB due to injuries.
-WR Quinton Hunter, Jr, UVA. Started part of last season, tore Achilles in Feb, status up in the air for summer camp, beginning of season.
-QB Billy Cosh, rFr, Kansas State, in 3 way battle for starting QB spot
-OT, AJ Scott, rFr, Marshall: JMU returns 4 OL starters. Will contend with a couple of others for the 5th spot. Cousin of JMU's Dae'quon Scott
-RB, Hykeem Brodie, rSo: Penn State (I think walk on) Me thinks will be the #3 or #4 TB.

Andre Coble was a Temple signee, but he never enrolled- he went to FUMA. Peter Rose signed with VT, but never enrolled, so those 2 don't count. Have a handful of others that spent a season at FUMA or Hargrave.
