Former Michigan quarterback Tate Forcier explained Tuesday why he never enrolled at Miami and also outlined some schools he's interested in.

"I just didn't feel comfortable and wanted to be closer to home," Forcier said. "Miami is completely on the other side of the country. It would have been fun playing there. But I just wanted to be closer so my parents can afford to come to the games."

Forcier announced be was transferring to Miami but never returned to the campus.

Forcier said he is in the process of setting up visits to other schools.

"I'm looking into Auburn," Forcier said. "I'm definitely interested in USC, San Diego State, Montana, Kansas State and University of San Diego. I have to lay everything out and figure out my visits."

As a freshman in 2009, Forcier started all 12 games for the Wolverines and completed 165 of 281 passes for 2,050 yards and 13 touchdowns and 10 interceptions.

This past season, Forcier appeared in eight games as a backup to Denard Robinson and completed 54 of 84 passes for 597 yards with four touchdowns and four interceptions. He was declared academically ineligible for Michigan's trip to the Gator Bowl.
This is the rumor that WON'T DIE!!!!

I'd put just as much money on San Diego as Montana at this point.

This is really starting to sound like the Allen Huddleston saga. He begged out of his hoops schollie at UOP and was reported to have signed with Boston College until a tweet repudiated that.

For both Huddleston and Forcier, it's starting to get really late to be playing this game, right? Just pick a place, enroll, and be done with it!

Why should he hurry at this point? He can still enroll in his school of choice as late as August and still be fine.

:o :o :o Can you imagine if he goes there and leads them to a 10-1 record. The Torrero nuts will be back in full force. :x

USD gets a small blip on the media scene here. Any major USD athletic news usually revolves around their hoops program; most of the recent USD news is all about the gambling scandal.

Going to USD would mean Forcier would have to accept playing at an irrelevant football university in a perceived irrelevant level of college football.

Yeah...given that being at Michigan wasn't good enough, somehow I don't think starting at a non-scholarship lower level school that hasn't done squat is going to float his boat.

I want, against all odds, for him to sign up with Hairy Cows in Fargo. The only reason is to see the *** FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE *** from JBB. JBB & lakesBison would be stuck in their mom's basement for a week working down the Priapism.

That WOULD be BEYOND awesome, but don't hold your hand on your ass waiting for that to happen.

It's not that Michigan wasn't good enough....it was that he was no longer good enough to start at Michigan and he is a petty drama-douche-clown

That would be fine with this Griz fan...we have approximately 173 qb's right now.

Yes you are, otherwise you wouldn't have said anything at all.

Kinda like saying "I could care less", which actually means you do care somewhat.

No sodomy
