"Bad" is the operative word. For the most part, Big Six teams don't want anything to do with top-level FCS programs, but there are some exceptions, among them Montana State at Utah on Sept. 1; Richmond at Duke, Eastern Washington at Washington, Appalachian State at Virginia Tech, McNeese State at Kansas and Montana at Tennessee on Sept. 3; Wofford at Clemson on Sept. 10; North Dakota State at Minnesota on Sept. 24; and Jacksonville State at Kentucky on Oct. 22.

Unfortunately, there are far more bad FBS-FCS games to choose from. Here are the 12 most embarrassing games this season involving Big Six schools and FCS programs:

I give them credit - pointing out that not every fbs/fcs game is cupcake game.

that was a good article - like the comparison caa is to sec as rhoady is to vandy...

It's about time that they recognize this.

citadel actually played competent football back then... and USC played incompetent football. now the roles are reversed.

I see the following:

Possible FCS Wins

Kitties @ Utes
Richmond @ Duke
Montana @ TN

Probable FCS Wins

EWU @ UW
Appy @ VA Tech

Neither is EWU @ UW. Possible - sure. Probable - fuck no.

hey ranger why open your mouth and show your own ignorance? Here is all you need to know about Presbyterian College. It is two years older than your school and you couldn't have gotten in.

They missed W&M @ UVA, Sept. 3. We beat them 26-14 in 2009 and I would have to think that it is quite possible that we will beat them again.

worst: Of the poorest quality or the lowest standard.

that would be one of the better games. ;)

VA Tech isn't Michigan, which Appy has already beaten.

UW is worse than VA Tech, and EWU won the REAL National Championship.

You are correct. I should have quoted Super Hornet's post on possible & probable wins, which is what I was reacting to. Given that Mike London, the new UVA coach pretty much owned W&M when he was at UR, and the fact that we won't sneak up on them this time, our chances in beating UVA go down, but I would list W&M @ UVA in the possible win catagory.

I think Appy could easily upset Virginia Tech. As for that PC-Cal game. Oh boy...

I know this is the worst FCS/FBS games but I think the best games might be WM/UVA and UDel/Navy.

You had to point that out? You couldn't just let him insult his own team? :ohno:

Last year the NDSU @ Kansas game was listed as one of FBS/FCS games that shouldn't have been scheduled. NDSU had no chance and there was no point in playing the game. NDSU won.

This year NDSU is on the list of respectable match ups. Its definately a possible FCS win. NDSU is 1-1 with the Gophers in the past 5 yrs and the games have been good ones. It wont be any different this year.

Thanks, and I don't give a shit.

I wasn't commenting about the school itself, but you can't tell me that "The Blue Hose" is not a funny fuckin name for a mascot.

Sorry I hurt your delicate feelings, though. :thumb:

NDSU should compete. UM's pretty bad.
