This workout was held on April 14th at Los Medanos College in front of 27 NFL teams.
Eastern Washington RB Taiwan Jones measured in at 6000, 196 pounds, and ran a 4.33 and 4.36 in the 40-yard dash. He also had a 1.58 10-yard, 2.54 20-yard, 39 ½ inch vertical, 11’0 broad jump, 4.08 short shuttle, 6.90 3-cone, 11.68 60-yard shuttle, and did not bench. He had 8 ½ hand, 29 5/8 arm, and 71 1/8 wingspan. There was a report that he had a 40-inch vertical on one jump but it is unconfirmed.

Not possible, these times are BS. The folks on BV said so. Bill Fette must have been keeping time with a watch in one hand and a cow bell in the other.

These are the official results that the NFL sent out. I have the sheet with the times written by the scouts as they huddled together after the workout to compare and come up with the "official" numbers. So if someone has posted something way off this they did not get their results from NFL teams.

Depending on his upper body strength, you could be looking at another Deji Karim.

Lol just making sure. Some folks think because of who the person is that their results are legit so I wanted to verify those aren't my times but those sent out by the NFL. And for the record I talked to some teams who had him as low as 4.25 and several that had him at 4.28 and 4.30.

Interesting that he had those times while still rehabbing his foot to an extent. I think I read he was still in the boot 3 or 4 weeks ago.
Last year I posted that he had been clocked (unofficially) at 4.22 three separate times and everyone on the various boards laughed and commented on how an outrageous claim it was. I think when he is 100% it's completely within the realm of possibility. He wasn't that far off the other day.

Knowing what I do about his training I'm not sure he would have ran a 4.22 on a NFL watch then but I think he could when 100% right now. NFL clocks are always slower than coaches and trainers.

Maybe you could settle a dispute I have with a welching NDSU fan then. We had a bet going about TJ's official 40 time; he had 4.4 and over, I had anything below. He's claiming that since he didn't run at the combine (electronic) that .2 should be added to his handheld time. In your experience, what's the average difference between handheld and electronic 40 times? Or do you happen to know how much time they add to TJ's "official" 4.33? From what I've read, the average difference is .035.
Based on verifiable times from the top 25 runners -- all with at least one time of 4.42 or better -- there is a variance of .0354 seconds between the average of the hand-held times and the electronic time on a given run.
A league source tells PFT’s Mike Florio that Eastern Washington running back Taiwan Jones ran a 4.33 forty time at his individual Pro Day Thursday.
NFL scouts routinely add time to Pro Day forty-yard dashes based on perceived speed of surface. It’s still an impressive number, and will generate plenty of attention around the league.
FWIW, both the turf TJ ran on at Los Medanos College and the turf at Lucas Oil Stadium are the same surface (FieldTurf).

Eastern Washington junior running back Taiwan Jones has met with the Philadelphia Eagles and has meetings with the Arizona Cardinals, Miami Dolphins and the Kansas City Chiefs, according to a league source with knowledge of the situation.
Jones is scheduled to visit the Dolphins, but the majority of his meetings have been conducted on the West Coast. The Carolina Panthers are another team Jones is likely to meet with.
Eastern Washington running back Taiwan Jones will visit with the Oakland Raiders and Miami Dolphins this week, a source with knowledge of the situation said Sunday.
Jones already has met with the Philadelphia Eagles, Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals and had a meeting planned with the San Francisco 49ers

Whatever dude. As was already stated, some scouts had him at 4.25, which is not that far off, it it?
"Jones wowed NFL teams at his pro day last week, running between 4.28 and 4.35 in the 40-yard dash. Jones also registered a 40-inch vertical leap and an 11-foot broad jump. He had a 42-inch vertical leap, but it was scratched due to a foot placement. He started his college career as a cornerback and has outstanding speed for his size (6’1″, 200 lbs). He was expected to work out at the Scouting Combine but was unable to do so due to a broken left foot, which has now completely healed. Jones is not considered a first round candidate but is expected to go between the second and fourth rounds of the draft-and his pro day is undoubtedly shooting him up the charts."

Interesting post on BV concerning TJ:
NDSU STUDENT wrote:Well his weakness might explain his injury history, a Google search reveals many different injuries(foot injury 2008, broken fibula 2008, hip flexor 2009, hand injury 2009, two shoulder injuries 2009, abdominal contusion 2010, sports hernia 2010, and broken foot 2010, plus he had an ankle injury in high school)...Good thing somebody told him where the weight room is a few months ago or he would have been broken in half while playing in he NFL.
All those injuries and he'll still probably go in the 2nd or 3rd . His speed will get him in the door, it always has and always will. I look forward to seeing where he's drafted and following his NFL career.

Having beem able to watch him play I would say that time is legit. I remember watching him and if he got to the corner it was better than 50/50 that he was gone. I have not seen that burst in a long time, despite him being an Eagle he was fun to watch....

Jones + McCoy would be such a dangerous backfield
If he does well in a camp I'm picking him up in the final round of my fantasy draft

You know it. If he can do what he did in college in the NFL even half the time, he's good for at least one big run and a TD every game.

If the Eagles get him he could be a faster version of ex-Eagle Brian Westbrook
