Sounds like she's qualified for it, who gives a flying fokk what her degree was in?
Besides, WCU would actually have a chance at being competitive in DII.

What kind of conclusion is that?
I read the article. The man seems quite brilliant and well-accomplished. WCU seems fortunate to get him.

WCU fans are really really really really tired of losing and they wanted someone with experience at a football-playing institution which UALR is not.

That's pretty weird. In GSU's last presidential search a few years ago one of the finalists was a Furman alumnus who was a music guy. Needless to say some GSU fans didn't feel real great about that.

ASU's previous chancellor was a music major and set our program back 10-15 years. Good luck Cat fans, you're gonna need it!

Looks like the guy has better intentions than you give him credit for....
Hey, if nothing else, at least he graduated from a school with a tradition of winning. That'll be a new phenomenon around Cullowhee.
I guess he didn't want take the keyboard gig with the Dead....

A while back, Old Dominion appointed a woman from a Canadian school to be our new president. She never witnessed a football game in her life (not kidding). But under her leadership, Old Dominion began studies and eventually started a football program. She went back to Canada (a different institution) a year before we played our first game. But she came back to witness that inaugural kickoff and her first football game ever.
To be honest, football was started at Old Dominion for reasons other than providing an educational opportunity for 63 student athletes, or creating a revenue generating machine to help fund the overall athletic program. It was part of a complete campus-wide makeover aimed at increasing the ability to recruit quality students. But football was the one thing that required the biggest leap of faith. Much more than adding 6 new dorms or building a new student recreation center.
So you never know what you are getting until after the deed is done.
