I'm confused. If all t he inconsistencies were from before his tenure, then why are they letting him go?

BucDad - If you think you have seen struggles and losing in Charleston, you have no idea how bad it had become in Houston where football rules everything. TSU has a L O N G history of NCAA issues which likely put them under the microscope from the beginning.
The only surprise to me of this whole deal is that somehow the Ocean of Soul has been mentioned yet. And was it Slade that hired McClelland away from PV? If so, this all comes full circle.
Yet in the midst of all of this, the school managed to force their way into the Dynamo's stadium. It pays to have the right friends in positions of influence.
Not to step into TT's less than enviable position, but do I dare suggest that it is long past time to have TSU merged into UH?

Johnny Cole and his brother cheat everywhere they go. Not surprised by this at all.
