Man, I thought Texas State died when we cut 'em back in '05. Didn't even know they were ranked!!!

Texas State has a good offense but their defense is not good. After just playing one of the best defenses I have seen this year in Montana State I think the Griz will roll up some points and hope our D keeps TXST down a little like we have been the last month.

Texas State's offense is good, but their defense is terrible. The Bobcats rank 96th. in points allowed & 8th-worst in total defense. They also just gave up 553 yards in the SHSU win yesterday. The Griz may give up more points than in the previous 7 games, but they should still win pretty easy.

Side note: the Griz rank 9th. in points allowed. Who would have thought that coming into this season?

im going to go with Montna on this one. Lets face it...my thunderbirds beat texas state @ texas state lol. .

Something tells me it will be alot like the Cal Poly game (Barden) or the Eastern Washington (Boyce) game, where the Grizzz will really need to shut down Texas St's big play reciever (Luke) to really get the rest of the program going. In these games, the Grizzz always seem to give up plenty of yards but have the better final score. Looks like T-St has a very competant RB also, so we'll have to play honest football to win.

Looking over the Bobcats schedule, I think they should have changed their mascots name so as not to incur the rath of Bobcat hating that is 'natural' to the Grizzz.

I am not completely familiar with most of their oppenents, but in the two common oppenents SUU/N.Colorado, Texas St lost 34-20 (sure it was earlier in the season) and GRIZZZ won 46-10. For N. Colorado, they won 38-35, GRIZZZ won 41-20. Texas St DID beat McNeese St, who is a moderately tough oppenent. So they have that going for them.

Hmmm. Since we were the "original" Bobcats I think that other school would have to change. As far as the game....I hope we roll Montana on the way to a UNI rematch in Chatty just to make Cap n' Cat happy!!
