I'm glad we got Maine instead of UNH. Didn't think Maine would be in. I think they will give us a good game and we will win by single digits.

Maine likes to run the ball. Unfortunately, UNI's strong point is their rushing D. I think Maine will have more trouble stopping Corey Lewis and company than the other way around. I think the Panthers will win this one.

Me, too, uncle.

We clobbered back in '01 at home, but that was many moons ago.

Can you stop the run, UNI? If you can, you'll win, because Maine can't pass.

I don't think UNI deserved a seed (much less one ahead of Montana), but it looks like regionalism was the deciding factor this year because of the economy.

Yeah. Never mind who EARNED it. Let's just screw teams based on where they play.

Both UNI and Montana EARNED their seeds. Quit bein' a whinin'-ass p*ssy. You're as bad as (some of)them fux on SalukiTalk.

Doesn't it piss you off just a LITTLE that the ONLY other MVC team in the conference will be your opponent in the second round? Couldn't they have at LEAST put SIU in the other half of the bracket? And put Weber in the other half of Montana's bracket? Or does that just make too much damned sense? I mean, the split up Wofford and ASU...why couldn't they split up the other conference mates?

The committee doesn't use rationale. I agree with Skinny. We should be able to shut down their run game.

Not a bit, Z. I like the playoffs for the diversity of it all - teams playing different teams from different conferences and such.

I'm a liberal, man.

My point exactly. You like the diversity, yet your second round opponent (assuming you both win the cupcake games), will be your CONFERENCE MATE. That's just BS in my opinion. It really wouldn't be that hard. Switch Cal Poly & SIU. Something. It's like they're splittin' the fuckin' atom every year.

Like you know about this. Biggest mismatches = whoever gets the MEAC or OVC in the opening round. Other than those two, they are all tough games. :geek:

Blow me. Dude spends his entire waking life 1. steaming bout liberalism and 2. surfing the internet for stories chronicaling the trivial sufferings of the avant garde and environmentalists.

What the fuck does he know about football? Let alone the UNI / Maine matchup. His blowout comment and predicted score proves it. :geek:

If UNI DOESN'T blow out Maine, they'd better just turn in their equipment. Maine's best win all year is against UMass. They should be about as good as Youngstown State, so you should blow them out too.

Oh. Wait.

Nevermind.....

I think Maine wins this one. :P :P :P

Holy crap...I can't even call a score without you messin your shorts. Chill out. Maine has an athletic squad but with loses to all the top teams, and one point short of losing to UMass...they're hardly a strong team.
If UNI doesn't roll over the Bears, then the Saluk's (probably) or Cats will finish you guys off the following week.

:o Ooops!

Time to change your shorts again.

Well im going to go with Da Bears on this one. I think that UNI may be looking over them at a possible rematch with SIU. Now i believe the saying a win is a win and Da Bears have found a way to do that. They may not put up many points but they are a scrappy team and i can see Da Bears pull an upset, especially if UNI plays like they did against SUU!!

Maine-24
UNI-21
