BTW, I'm surprised UD made the list. They suck at merchandising. :ohno:

WCB

Those two would be the first two I would have thought of, but because of their basketball teams.

I also don't think this is a comparison of all the teams. I'm pretty sure it's only the teams that go through CLC, which excludes App. St. and a couple of others.

Here's who it includes:

+1

For a school that does so little to market or grow its marquee program, I am amazed we're where we are on this list.

I'm also surprised G-Town isn't higher. I guess we're a couple of decades removed from every gangster and wanna-be gangster on every street corner in Hoyas gear. I vividly recall those days.

Well, when you have a roll of 5 large or so in your pocket at any given time, plunking down a couple of hundred on gear isn't really going to kill you.

If the gear has blue in it and you live in LA, it just might. :coffee:

Nice to see them outselling the likes the Ohio State, USC, Michigan State, Oregon, Indiana, Iowa, Arizona State, Virginia Tech, NC State, Kansas State, Mississippi State, Rutgers, etc.

It's complete and total nonsense, but it's nice to see it printed on the internet like it's real.

How bad are Villanova & Georgetown with high-profile hoops teams that they're that low?

The only surprise IMO that's ahead of them is:

(66.) Northwestern University

The others that are ahead of them are public schools and larger privates.

ASU uses the Licensing Resource Group. They have four offices located around the nation, one in Winston Salem, NC. I believe Charlie Cobb knows with the WS representative from their days at NC State (who is also a LRC school). It's all about contacts.

The Collegiate Licensing Company (CLC) is pleased to announce its top-selling institutions and manufacturers for the second quarter of the 2009-2010 fiscal year. These rankings represent royalties reported October 1, 2010 through December 31, 2010 on all collegiate merchandise sold.
This list is TOTALLY USELESS.

As mentioned, this list only contains the clients of CLC, and it is only for royalties reported during the fourth quarter of 2010 (football season - which would handicap "basketball" schools).

Holly SH** this list is so FU**ing stupid. How dare I try to put this up as something interesting to look at while there is no football on. I mean for FU** sake it doesn't even have to do with who is moving up, or how one football stadium is better than another (MUST HAVE PICTURES), or who has better fans, and why your Rival sucks there own ass nipples. SORRY to everyone who had the misfortune of reading this Horse SH** of an article.

I think your big mistake was not including Nate Montana & Tate Forcier....also, a stadium pic would've been acceptable.

I signed up for this sight when I lived in the sh** hole Sacramento. I didn't see it wasn't every school, I thought it was.

He made a mistake on the "all the college in college football" part but I don't see what the fuck is the problem with a report that makes it horse shit. All you have to do is look at it and see he was mistaken on what he thought it was but other than that it's legit.

He didn't post any BS to be called out on. Some people just aren't looking at the link carefully to see what it is saying and that isn't his fault...that's yours.

Here's the link for the last full year I found with only seconds of work.

Good work bringing it to the board for discussion and vetting SACCAT. :thumb:
