Hey everyone. If you are not aware the University of North Dakota Sioux and South Dakota Coyotes began their transition into D-1 this year. Currently the Coyotes have a record of 6-4 (1-1 in GWC play) and the Sioux 5-4 (0-2 in GWC play). For some reason Cal Poly and UC Davis did not scheduale both of them on their scheduals and i find that very retarted to say the least . Anyways i was just thinking, who do you think is better? South or North Dakota?

I can think of reasons I would not want my school scheduling them...one good one is making the playoffs...

A transition team doesn't count in the necessary 7 DI wins to be eligible...assuming you win...and if you already had a previous committment to a non-counter, you would not want more on your schedule...

In addition to some very bad play on our part, having a transition team is another reason UMass isn't going to the playoffs...not the sole reason, but one...

Neither of the Dakotas counted as a D-I school this year. Teams with playoff hopes didn't want to schedule them. Next year they count, so I think there is a full GWFC schedule.

UND has been good the last 25 years, winning a DII championship and losing a couple championship games. USD was at that level in the 1980's, losing a Championship game to NDSU. USD has come back in the last 5-10 years to battle for their former DII conference title. I believe UND will do better overall in FCS, while USD will be a contender, but might not be as consistant.
