Two former Wofford College football players have been accused of breaking into a dorm room last month.

Deputies said that warrants have been signed for the arrest of Andrew Gehring and Willie Favors, both 18 years old. They said both men are charged with first-degree burglary and grand larceny.

According to an incident report, Gehring and Favors are suspects in a break-in at a room in the Marsh Dormitory on Jan. 29. It said that several computers, accessories, game consoles and games were taken from the room.

Deputies said that both Gehring and Favors live outside of South Carolina, but have agreed to turn themselves in to law enforcement in Spartanburg County.

A spokesman for Wofford College told FOX Carolina that both men were dismissed from the school's football program and are no longer enrolled at the school. According to the incident report, Gehring and Favors were expelled.

happened a couple days ago, say what you want, Wofford has bad seeds but their behavior isn't tolerated. a lot of teams would just hand out suspensions for stuff like this.

Favors was a VERY promising candidate, it's a shame. oh well, we have a couple more QBs that can do the job just fine

Bummer for the Wofford fans. Stupid move by the kids. Can't think of a school it hasn't happened to at some point in time.

among those charged were Syvelle Newton, who started at multiple positions in future seasons. Notice that the 2 that were charged were "suspended indefinitely." Wofford on the other hand didn't wait and kicked the players of the team ASAP

Two more shown the door.

Wofford has lost a ton in the past year. Hard to overcome that kind of attrition. If injuries start to happen, it could be a long year.

true, but let's remember that 4 of the 5 players dismissed didn't see much if any playing time in 2010. This hurts our depth in the long run more than anything, but I'm not concerned about the impact outside of the Reeves dismissal

Furman University said five football players have either been suspended or dismissed after being arrested following an undercover drug investigation. A sixth student, who is not on the football team, was also ticketed.

For the record, I saw this earlier and wasn't going to post it unless someone brought it up.
