It's not like NSU has just been a powerhouse team in recent history (Ever?)

No real shocker here...
April will join his father, Bobby, who played at Nicholls and currently serves as Special Teams Coordinator for the Eagles under head coach Andy Reid. Considered one of the league's top coordinators, April recently earned the NFL's special teams coach of the year in 2008.

Yes it is. If you don't have the ties NSU is not the school you want on your resume for applying to the NFL for a job. Nepotism is all it is.
This ain't App or Montana or Delaware. It's the SLC...it's Nicholls State.
