North Texas has no such player.

They DO have a QB named Riley Dodge, who was a starter for a portion of this year, and was among the tons of QB injuries the Mean Green suffered this year. His father was the head coach who was fired this year, so he MAY be looking to get out. But he seemed to get along well with offensive coordinator (and former interim head coach) Mike Canales, so it's anyone's guess.

I'm sure North Texas is slow in updating it, but I know for a fact he's enrolled at McNeese...could he withdraw and change his mind? I guess it's possible, but highly doubtful.

The point is that his name is on UNT's roster, but not on McNeese's.

So the four possibilities I can think of are:

1. He's sticking in Denton.
2. He's enrolled at McNeese, but the team is waiting for awhile (perhaps until he turns out for fall camp) to put him on THIER roster.
3. He's trasferred to play ball at some OTHER school.
4. He's quit football.

I doubt there's any chance he's pulled a Jones....

1. It's a holiday weekend.
2. Typically, transfers aren't made official until they're on the roster at an organized event (spring ball). UNT may or may not ever put out a press release that he left the program. He may just disappear off the roster come spring practice, and that's that.
3. Athletic page rosters are anything but official, and certainly are not kept up to date. I know of many instances where people on LU forums have said "Why isn't this guy playing?" and someone replies "He hasn't been on the team since October."

Basically, it happens.

But, a quick google of his name provides all the proof you need, including this...

It's really not all that difficult...he has his release, has enrolled at McNeese and will start classes on Wednesday...his continued presence on UNT's online roster is irrelevent...knowing McNeese, they'll wait til signing day to make an official announcement.
