This rumor has been cooking for a couple of months, but there's more fuel to the fire now. Seems he has definitely left Michigan: http://collegefootballtalk.nbcsports.co ... t/related/

From the article: "The speculation making the rounds is that Forcier will ultimately transfer to Montana to continue his collegiate career."

Edit: sorry, screwed up the link the first time...fixed now.

He'll love getting sacked in the BSC. Looking forward to it. :)

He would enter fall camp with two years remaining, correct?

I don't think he can transfer until he becomes academically eligible.

He isn't going anywhere unless his grades improve about 200%

Latest talk now is that Forcier wants to stay at Michigan even though he was sent home from the Gator Bowl and the athletic director said he is not currently enrolled at Michigan. New head coach Brady Hoke said he didn't know if Forcier would be on the team. Sounds like a big clusterf&^k if you ask me. Griz are probably better off rolling the dice with Jordan Johnson or pursuing Austin Carta-Samuels, who has announced he's leaving Wyoming.

From everything I read/saw this past season was Forcier was a little bitch early in the season (not a shock) but by the end of the season wanted to be at Michigan.

He wasn't sent home from the bowl game for attitude, team rules, etc... He was sent home because he was THE ONLY PLAYER not to meet grades. If he can qualify and wants to be back I see no reason he wouldn't be.

I didn't think he met Montana's minimum requirements until he ran afoul of the law? If griz are willing to take him only on the basis of his poor grades but without an arrest record, they've obviously relaxed their standards under the new regime....

Don't know that Kitten fans have much room to point fingers here.

Yeah, yeah, I know Ash has cleaned the program up, but that doesn't change what happened before.

Seems these dropdown QBs frequently don't pan out, even when there are no obvious red flags like the guy's dad flying into town to try to pressure the school, AD, and coaches.

No, we consider them regardless of the status of their orange shirt year.

You have anything to back up this "announcement" by Mr Carta-Samuels?

Yup: http://espn.go.com/blog/ncfnation/post/ ... es-wyoming

There has been no mention whatsoever about him going to Montana (other than rampant speculation). For now, it looks like he's going to take a year off at a JC and then reevaluate his options after that, so he may be holding out hope for another shot at the FBS level.

Look at his web site. This kid looks like problems from the get go.

I hope he doesn't end up at Montana - not because I don't want to see Montana getting a quality drop-down QB or anything like that. But this dude just looks like a clown.

On another note, for the UM folks, is MIddleton still at Montana, and how is he working out? I know people were excited when he transferred from UW. Pflu doesn't seem to be averse to bring in a lot of drop-downs.

Don't know for sure, but I read on eGriz he is off the team. Didn't have a strong work ethic.

Now please remember I read that on eGriz, so it could be 180 from the truth.

he's still listed on the roster, but really don't know his current status. what you saw of MR. Middleton at the Griz/Eags game pretty much answers your question.

based on what, one short recruiting season and pre-LOI signing day board fodder? Image
