Did he spend time in Denver before going to Elon?

He made great strides in the Elon program over the last few years, and we were able to make our first ever playoff appearance in '09. He took the Elon program from being a really bad team to being a playoff team in 3 years. I hope we can get another good coach.

you mean chop blocking? cut blocking is legal, chop blocking is not. Lembo's team does not cut or chop block but blatant attempts at injuring other players on other teams

He was 8-3/9-3 in two years at Bowling Green, 10-2/12-0 at Utah, including Liberty and Fiesta Bowl wins, and was 13-1 THREE times at Florida, which includes two B(C)$ Championship Game wins, one of which featured Chris Leak at QB. Through all that time, Meyer NEVER had a losing season as a HC.

Clearly, Meyer is much more than a one-trick wonder.

There is some speculation that a replacement might be our DC/Assistant/LB Coach, Jay Bateman. He has previous coaching experience at Siena, and it would keep a lot of continuity, instead of bringing in a whole new staff and new system. Hopefully they get this sorted out soon.

I wouldn't mind seeing Bateman take over. I've also heard something about Strollo possibly taking over. I'm just surprised that he hasn't been announced yet like most assumed he would. Maybe something's going on behind the scenes? Regardless, I'd like to see this finish up quickly as well. I think we have a good foundation in place for whoever takes over next, so I remain hopefully for the team next year.

We have our first ridiculous, where did that come from coaching possibility. Heard a rumor that Chuck Amato initiated contact with Elon before these rumors about Lembo came out in case Pete left.
