ATTENTION APP STATE FANS

I just heard from a very reliable source that a surprise player has gotten enough votes for the NFL Scouting Combine. Daniel Kilgore. Kilgore projects as a guard and his selection solidifies what I was thinking. His athleticism from tight end makes him an ideal guard project. He could get drafted as I have some teams grading him as high as a 5th or 6th round pick. Right now LeGree has 6th-PFA grades and DJ Smith appears to be a pure PFA based on what I saw in the playoffs.

Congrats to Kilgore on getting the votes. I have a few other names but thought I would share this one as it is a total surprise to most.

Also, it looks like DJ Smith has gotten enough votes and will be going to the combine as well. Waiting to hear on Mark LeGree

What did DJ do to hurt his chances those two games?

In two games he had 22 tackles, 1.5 TFL, 1 sack, and 2 QBH all while spending most of his time back at WLB in those games instead of MLB where he will play in the NFL.

Well he can't play OLB making him an MLB only. Most small school linebackers either play both in and outside or they are elite at one of the two. He is on some draft boards but I just don't think he is taken at the end of the day. He is 5'10, a little tight in the hips, and misses a decent amount of tackles.

From what I'm hearing the SoCon has several who might have combine invites. I think Kilgore and Smith are likely to get in while Chattanooga CB Buster Skrine is also likely. Wofford safety Tommy Irvin and App safety Mark LeGree are both on the bubble and could.
