Not so good:
VU @ ASU - 15,706
GSU @ WC - 11,823
UNH @ UD - 8,770
NDSU @ EWU - 4,060
Friggin' fair weather fans.

UNH @ UD only 8770? Granted, I never really saw a good shot of the home side, and the away side looked about 1/2-2/3 full, but I would have guees 12-13k butts in seats. It looked maybe 60% full on TV, not 40%.

Well, if we're fortunate enough to beat a very good GSU squad, my dad and I will be doing our parts in attending.

Oh, nobody understates their numbers in FCS.

Not the thread to do it in, but Frisco really makes little sense - if the fans care this little about playing at home, imagine flying to a soccer field north of Dallas. Call it ECB if you want.
I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'.....

If GaSouth makes the final, then definitely Chatty. They would pack that stadium. Without a TX team & Cotton Bowl same night, I fear the Frisco attendance. I hope I'm proven wrong.

Oh, nobody understates their numbers in FCS.

How much can you get away with understating your #s by though? Can you lop off 1/3 of the crowd?

I have no idea. Some people maintain that all the numbers are legit. I honestly have no insight into it.

Can't let WHAT go? 80% of the schools are East of the Mississippi - call me a logistical idiot, but it seems you'd want to put the NC game nearer to where the likely finalists would end up, right?
I don't have a hard on for Chatty - put it in St. Louis, Indy, Louisville...I don't care. Frisco makes no sense.

Makes about as much sense as the IWFL staging their championship series this year in Round Rock, TX. The only connection is that RR is league HQ; there's no team there.

Rank based on % of regular season attendence:
1. GSU (19,110) 62%
2. EWU (7,492) 54%
3. ASU (29,449) 53%

Apparently ASU fans don't think their team is worth the $5 price of admission. They have to turn them away when it's free admission, but charge $5 and people suddenly have better things to do.
...and Delaware fans are the fairest weather of them all.

Agreed.
And Delaware's fan base is also probably the oldest in all of FCS football........hard for the elderly to get outside once the temps drop below 50.......

The Boston Militia beat the Sacramento Sirens 39-7 (the Sirens' only loss of the year) this past July in Round Rock. They'd have done better playing it at a home site, IMO. The same applies with the FCS playoffs, IMO.

I'd put UD's fan age up against UNI's. We might finally beat UD in something, even if it is fan age.

EWU fans represent better than UNI, ASU, and Delaware!
Throw in Montana States attendance in the 2nd round and Big Sky fans are clearly superior.

Obviously the late Friday night start and nationally televised game had the biggest impact on UD's attendance. A one armed man could see that. Interestingly enough, the Sat. prior, played in a colder wind chill, UD was the highest attended FCS playoff game of the entire weekend. It's kind of funny that people who have never set foot in Delaware Stadium proclaim to be such experts on UD FB fan demographics.
We do indeed have a dedicated and loyal core of senior fans who show up like its their job, whether its traveling 11 hours by bus to some of the craphole lobsterpots in New England or flying to watch games in 4 degree windchill in Missoula, MT or rainsoaked games in Huntington, WV. They'll be there no matter what. Too bad FCS schools don't have more fans like the older UD fans, who have showed up week after week through the good and bad... unlike some people who casually snipe on message boards while seldom attending games.

Why don't your students and middle aged people show up?
