FCS Result Leads To BCS Error

This weeks BCS rankings were wrong and the reason has to do with the FCS.

The current rankings showed LSU in 10th place and Boise State in 11th. However the rankings failed to include the Appalachian State/Western Illinois playoff game. As a result the BCS had to update the rankings which now show Boise State 10th and LSU 11th.

While it doesn't effect any games, the standings could effect the chances of the MWC gaining a automatic BCS slot down the road.

I could be the only one but does any else here hate bowl games? The match-ups are interesting and fun to watch but if your 10th or 11th in the nation and you win your bowl game I suppose that's a really special thing but... why can't they change to a playoff system. I feel like making it to the semi finals of a playoff bracket is something a team could feel a lot more proud about than winning the Valero Alamo Bowl.

I like football, thus I like the bowl games. I watch just about every one. Sure, a playoff would be great, but it's a pipe-dream right now. National Championships just aren't valued in FBS like they are in the FCS.
