...but I couldn't resist posting this on Detroit Free Press article regarding the future of RichRod....enjoy FCS fans...
As someone who used to admire the Michigan program from afar & married into a Michigan family, it pains me to see the tragic comedy that is Michigan football in it's current state. You need to do everything you can to get Harbaugh. RichRod is a good coach, just not a good coach for Michigan. College football is a better product when the Michigans' & Notre Dames' are solid performers. Notre Dame has no chance to improve IMO, but there is still hope for Michigan. As a graduate of Appalachian State, I want to apologize for my alma mater's role in your program's demise. Our goal was to beat you, not send you into a 4-year death spiral......

When I think about Michigan's firing of Lloyd Carr I can't help but compare it to GSU's firing of Mike Sewak.

Harbaugh will be announced as the new coach 2 minutes after they fire Rod.

True! Harbaugh? I think he will be staying put in Stanford, letting Luck continue his consistency there.
Michigan has fallen hard ever since RichRod arrived.

I don't think it's Rich Rod's fault. They have no defense.

Eh. He's the head coach... not offensive coordinator. If the defense sucks... it's his fault.

Who hand picked the shitty defensive coordinator? The head coach. Having shitty coordinators isn't an excuse. Were you saying the same things through Charlie Weiss's tenure?

Great idea. Hire a coach to take a couple of years to recruit for a spread offense, fire him halfway through the process, then hire a coach who is going to recruit for the offense you had before.
3 years of mediocrity will turn into 6-7 years...
Give it some time. I feel like Rich was just hired yesterday. I hate Michigan, anyways, that's just my thoughts.

Lloyd Carr was not fired, he had been thinking of retiring for several years & would have done so even if they had beaten App St.
