I voted this game as well...btw, Delaware might have the best pass defense in the entire country much less the CAA. All four members of the secondary made All-CAA and all are seniors. Very talented bunch considering their d-line gets zero pressure to help them in pass coverage.SeattleGriz wrote:Villanova at SFA.
Villanova still doesn't have a very good pass defense, nor does any CAA team, but the overall physicality of Nova should be too much for SFA.
Now, if SFA can get out to a lead, it should be real interesting.
I may be full of crap and not know it, but I am basing my statement on the fact Montana tore the CAA a new one in the passing department and we were a power running team when we played the CAA. Of course we couldn't run for crap, nor stop the run, but that is not the point.UD1Hens wrote:I voted this game as well...btw, Delaware might have the best pass defense in the entire country much less the CAA. Yeah Griz, I think your assessment is spot on in regards to the history Montana has had vs the CAA passing wise. The CAA isn't a running conference in the sense that a MVFC team may be with a true running back behind the QB and maybe even a FB in there. They aren't going to go 3 yards and a cloud of dust so to speak. The CAA has pretty much all of it's teams out of the shotgun and run some form of the spread offense. Even the one traditional option team (Rhode Island) has switched to that offense. Depending on what team you face you will get a different variation. With Delaware, they pass more out of it and do a series of HB traps/stretches...If you face Nova/JMU they run more of a QB read type offense.SeattleGriz wrote:I may be full of crap and not know it, but I am basing my statement on the fact Montana tore the CAA a new one in the passing department and we were a power running team when we played the CAA. CAA is a running conference, but until someone knocks them off as such, they are still king.
I agree. Zable will be jumping next weekend!Skjellyfetti wrote:Wofford - JSU

are all strong candidates.
Went with GSU - W&M after GSU's showing this weekend and the fact that W&M is the only seeded team.
