I don't see EWU getting a higher seed than MSU. They're both 9-2 (7-1 Big Sky) and MSU beat them; I doubt the committee will seriously look any further than that when separating those two. EWU's non-conference was tougher, but not by enough to overcome a 23-point h2h loss.

You girls are turning pretty arrogant trying to justify a head to head loss. And if you think we have no chance to get a seed you might as well be on a street corner in Missoula.

No crying here, MSU won head-to-head and deserves the AQ bid.

A team cannot afford to get too high or too low after a game. EWU clearly came away from their home opener win against MU too high, and got slapped down by a very good MSU team.

A lot goes into seeding, and some of it is financial

Thats the great thing about FCS, the championship is determined on the field through the playoffs.

Crying would be for teams that are left out of the playoffs.

It's difficult to objectively justify putting EWU ahead of MSU because h2h is the deciding factor in these situations the vast majority of the time (It's the #1 tiebreaker for every conference). It may come down to O'Day's endorsement, though.


I'm gonna keep EWU ahead of MSU in my poll ballot because I think they're the better team overall (in a vacuum) & playing better lately, but I think MSU should be considered ahead of EWU for the playoffs because the less subjective criteria go that direction.

H2H isn't the only criteria the committee will look at... they look at the overall resume to see who is better. If they do that, I think EWU will get a seed/higher seed over MSU. Yes, we lost the head to head (a 30-7 conference loss), but MSU has a 34-7 conference loss, to an unranked team. EWU has a slight edge in a couple other of the conference games because of wins on the road, vs. MSU close wins but at home. EWU is also on a 7 game win streak.

EWU lost to 1st place msu (w/o TJ), msu lost to wack ass nau. Not to mention EWU is #1 in the nation!
EWU is the better team, EWU has the longer streak, EWU lost to fbs #23, msu lost to fbs #103.

Eastern Washington University BIG SKY CHAMPS JUST LIKE I PREDICTED

Right now EWU is playing the more complete game. MSU has struggled with injuries at all three levels and just started getting players back for Weber. Also MSU has played good for a quarter or a half, but not for a full game.

Our defense made plays when they had to.

When MSU played EWU we were still allowing T. Jones 10 yards a pop just not the 70 yard bursts that he got on the Griz. Mitchell's timing and their offense didn't know what to do without TJ in there. They figured it out later.

We have a ton of young guys on our team, that were forced to grow up fast. Freshmen linebacker, defensive ends, that are starting to figure it out.

EWU is the better team right now. Depending on any new injuries , the Bobcats should start to round into form going into the playoffs. They will need to otherwise it will be a short trip.

Montana is the team that's cryin', not EWU. Although I still don't understand how UM can piss away 4 possessions inside he 10, only down a score. Thanks for nothin'.

But like I said, it was 3 inside the 10. 2 inside the 5. The other turnover was at the 25.

My bad. I didn't see the second half... just heard from Kalm at halftime of our game that it was 4 TO inside the 10, so blame him.
