Yeah, and he'd miss whatever playoff game we made it to, should things fall into place.
It's a shame, too. Chris could have locked up every WR record in the books.
Hopefully next year he can come back and do it all again, plus some. And I think his numbers are good enough for AA consideration without this final game.
76 catches
1081 yards
15 TD's

That sucks.
I hope the Flames win the game 55-54
and CCU beats CSU 40-0
although with the start of our season, I'd just be happy to share the BS Crown even without the auto bid.

Yeah and if Coastal's Josh Norman wasn't such a douche Chris wouldn't be hurt.

Sad news, but happy we don't have to worry about him.

It's no could have, he WOULD have. He's already got the single season receiving yards and receiving TDs. He only needed 5 receptions to get the single season receptions. If he's able to stay healthy next year, he'll smash our career receiving marks. I think he needs 2 TDs to have the most career receiving TDs.

I will agree Norman was wway out of line in this situation. Really sad. Chris is a beast.

So what happened? How did he get hurt?

Allegedly horse collar tackled in the end zone on an 80 yard scoring play.
I didn't get to see it, so I wouldn't know for sure.

It was a dirty tackle. He yanked him down w/ the horse collar as he fell into the endzone. He was going to score regardless. Then, after Summers fell into the endzone - the ball had clearly crossed the plane in his possession- he dropped the ball since he was holding his leg. The douchebag DB picked up the ball and he was dancing around like he recovered a fumble.
