Since UNI joined the Gateway/MVFC in 1985 they have won the title 15 times after tonight's victory.

not quite. They have another weekend of conference play yet.
and it is probably their toughest weekend of the season, as it is the road trip to Wichita State and Missouri State.

Cap'n Cat was co-captain with Head Coach Mark Farley on that first Gateway Champ team in '85. D1B was a captain on the second one we won, in 1987.

20 of 26 years had an outright champion, UNI has 50% of them.

INSU has 0 as do NDSU and SDSU.



Out of the 5 times UNI has shared the conference title, only once did they fail to get the auto bid. That year was 2008, and they got the #3 seed, which the autobid, SIU, didn't get a seed.

I will take our four national titles in 7 appearances (1979-Division II) over your 15 conference titles any day. That is not to say I am not impressed with your 15 titles. That is unreal.
