Most Surprising Result: (#23) Eastern Washington 3, (#12) Montana 19 - In maybe the most disappointing game ever for fans of offense, two teams that were scoring a combined 70 ppg & giving up a combined 66 ppg only manage to total 22 points in this contest.

Worst Performance: Nicholls St. 28, Northwestern St. 36 - When an option team is outrushed by 74 yards, that's a bad sign.
Most Surprising Result: (#3) McNeese St. 42, Texas St. 45 - QB Derrick Fourroux provided some late heroics, but falling behind by 25 to Texas State in the 4th. quarter shows the Cowboys are overrated.

Worst Performance: Indiana St. 7, (#16) Southern Illinois 60 - Rather than rubberneck at the 80-car pileup that is Sycamore football, I'll just move along…
Most Surprising Result: (#11) North Dakota St. 22, (#17) Western Illinois 27 - The Bison went an impressive 35-9 over their 4 year exhibition run, but now they're just 3-3 in games that count.

Worst Performance: Tennessee Tech 21, Murray St. 51 - Golden Eagles give up an insane 645 yards.
Most Surprising Result: Eastern Kentucky 38, (#19) Jacksonville St. 35 - I guess the Colonels aren't ready to relinquish the OVC crown quite yet.
Tomorrow: the rest of the playoff conferences.

- NConf Record: 3-2
Overall: 14-14
vs. FCS: 3-2
Overall: 14-14
Best Performance: Lehigh 45, Fordham 24 - The Mountain Hawks find a passing game as evidenced by J.B. Clark's 296 yards and 4 passing TDs (207.6 eff. rating; also ran for a TD).
Worst Performance: Georgetown 7, Penn 27 - Hoyas only average 2.8 yards per pass attempt & lose yet again.
Most Surprising Result: Fordham 24, Lehigh 45 - Rams still not content to let Youngstown walk away with the "most disappointing team in FCS" award.
CAA
HOF 45-31 BUCK
W&M 38-34 UNH
UMASS 28-24 NE
MAINE 27-10 UD
URI 32-

JMU 38-31 RICH
- NConf Record: 1-0
Overall: 25-17
vs. FCS: 1-0
Overall: 23-5
Best Performance: (#1) James Madison 38, (#5) Richmond 31 - Note to all head coaches: don't kick the ball straight at the punt returner with less than 20 seconds left. The Spiders did, & now they're 4-3.
Worst Performance: Rhode Island 32, Towson 37 - The Rams get the short end after both defenses collapse in the 4th. quarter.
Most Surprising Result: (#24) Delaware 10, Maine 27 - The Blue Hens just can't stop turning the ball over, adding 3 Rob Schoenhoft interceptions to 2 lost fumbles. Now Delaware has already lost more games than they did the entire 2007 regular season.
MEAC
MORG 41-3 NCAT
NFOLK 23-
24 SCSU
WSSU 0-
23 FAMU
DSU 26-20 BCOOK
- NConf Record: 0-0
Overall: 10-13
vs. FCS: 0-0
Overall: 7-8
Best Performance: Delaware St. 26, Bethune-Cookman 20 - Hornets QB Vashon Winton didn't throw the ball too well (8/21 for 147, 1 TD, 1 INT), but he ran for 102 yards and 2 TDs to add to RB Chris Strothers's 110 yards on just 11 carries.
Worst Performance: North Carolina A&T 3, Morgan St. 41 - At least the Aggies—unlike previous years—managed to win some games before playing like this.
Most Surprising Result: Florida A&M 23, Winston-Salem St. 0 - Not a surprising final score, but it's always unexpected when you control the ball for more than 40 minutes & hold your opponent to a paltry 81 yards.
SoCon
WCU 21-
28 FUR
UTC 7-
56 WOFF
ELON 27-23 CIT
APPST 35-24 SAM
- NConf Record: 0-0
Overall: 18-13
vs. FCS: 0-0
Overall: 12-4
Best Performance: (#6) Elon 27, (#21) The Citadel 23 - The ground game gets it done again as the Phoenix overcome a solid performance from the Bulldog passing attack.
Worst Performance: Tennessee-Chattanooga 7, (#8) Wofford 56 - Are the Mocs even trying anymore? I know what it is… there must be some sort of neutrality clause which mandates the FCS title host can never be good.
Most Surprising Result: Samford 24, (#2) Appalachian St. 35 - Just because they came to this conference from the "lowly" OVC doesn't mean the Bulldogs will just sit back & let the SoCon establishment have their way. They played pretty well here against the defending national champs; they led at the end of the 1st. quarter, went turnover free, & dominated time of possession.
Tomorrow: Great West, Ivy League, Big South, & SWAC

Worst Performance: Campbell 7, Butler 56 - Losing to Butler by 7 touchdowns at home is terrible even for a neophyte program.
Most Surprising Result: Valparaiso 35, Davidson 29 (OT) - After playing horribly up to this point, the Crusaders run for 351 yards on the Wildcats & surprisingly even their PFL record.
NEC

Worst Performance: Iona 12, (DIII) Wesley 23 - To be outgained 462-272 by a DIII—even a good DIII—is pretty pathetic.
Most Surprising Result: Bryant 7, Marist 34 - Despite being a first-year transitional, the Bulldogs appeared to be the class of the independents until this.
