The Big South battle for third place was held in Boiling Springs on Saturday in Spangler Stadium. In a close game, Coastal Carolina once again came out on top of our Runnin' Bulldogs. While it's no fun to lose, the Bulldog faithful could take some positives away from this game. Most notably, our boys bounced back from the disappointing loss to PC and played very hard in this game.
QB John Rock [21-37, - 275 yds, 2 TDs, 2 ints] did a good job of running the offense on Saturday and got some chances to show off his long ball.

RB, Juanne Blount carried the ball 34 times for 112 yards

Tre Perry caught 7 passes for 116 yds

TE James "Pork Chop" Dugas caught a 24 yd TD pass on Saturday.

TE Josh Miller also caught a few passes - 5 catches for 43 yds.

LB Brian Wittenberger led the D with 11 tackles

DE Jordan Woods [#19] had 10 tackles

FR Safety, Gianni Olivas, had 2 ints and 6 tackles today.

This int was tipped to him by #18.

Unfortunately the hard work was not enough for the Runnin' Bulldogs on Saturday. Gardner-Webb won every statistical contest on Saturday except the one that mattered - the score. This game should provide the boys with something to work on this coming week as we prepare for Liberty.
