Albany 24
CCSU 6
Halftime

Danes Freshman QB Buddy Leathey in his first start:

5-9 (3 dropped balls) for 46 yards and 1TD passing
8 rushes for 98 yards

Kid is a great athlete and should have been starting since the first game. The future for us. No real need to pass yet.

CCSU 12
Albany 24

End 3Q

CCSU defense made some adjustments at halftime and has done well this half. Offense had a nice drive and went for 2 to get it to 10 but failed. Nothing since then. Momentum killer.

And that's the game.

Albany fumbles on its 2nd place in OT and CCSU kicks the FG for the win.

CCSU - 30
Albany - 27

Final

The bright spot - our Frosh QB went 100 rush, 100 pass. Unfortunately he also fumbled in OT. Learning experience though.

Yeah it goes in cycles though. Hens fans can relate I bet....

2002- NEC champions
2003 - NEC champions
2004 - 4-7
2005 - 5-6 (including starting the season 0-5)
2006 - 6-4
2007 - NEC Champions
2008 - NEC Champions
2009 - 7-4
2010 - .....?
2011 - .....?
2012 - NEC Champions ?
2013 - NEC Champions ?

I can live with that if it plays out and it looks like it might with the youth we have. We've only got 2 or 3 seniors that get any significant playing time on offense and a few on defense with solid backups. The future is bright.

Final stats for our Frosh QB in his first ever start:

12-19 for 101 yards passing and 1 TD
17 attempts for 112 yards rushing and 1 TD

That's the bright spot for us. :thumb:

Beat up O line, QB in his first start. I'm not bitching.
