NDSU clearly owns the MVFC

Especially at the FargoDump.
NDSU has lost
SIX STRAIGHT CONFERENCE HOME GAMES.
Their last home conference win came in 2008 against a winless Indiana State team.
Heck, they have a whole TWO home conference wins since joining the MVFC! I don't know of anyone that can touch that dominance.
Since joining the MVFC NDSU is 13-19 and a whopping 6-13 in conference play.
Clearly they are the class of the league.
All hail the mighty Bison

Need to find a special place for them together with their old buddies, Northern Colorado.
Lots of fun to be had deciding what to call that place.

One step up from the Minnesota Gophers, or maybe any Minnesota Team
Twins have lost 12 straight playoff games
Vikings have lost 4 straight Super Bowls
Gophers will have 11 staight losses this season
Timberwolves barely won more games than the Vikings last year
Wild only advanced in the playoffs once

The Fargodome has to be the biggest joke of a "homefield advantage" in all of FCS. They consistently lose at home.

OMG! What a disgusting place that was, especially when it's 10 degrees and a 30MPH wind.

Home field advantage at it's best. Plus they let you in the fieldhouse to warmup at half-time.

Not in 1976 they didn't.
Now, I believe the biggest mistake the Vikes ever made was building an indoor stadium.

There are bright spots including complete domination of the powerful and nationally respected NDSU FBS opponents giving The Herd the opportunity to represent the MVFC with pride and honor in our OOC games. In addition NDSU has not disgraced the program by losing to lower division and NAIA teams during its transition. NDSU has set attendance records and is the largest program, in terms of attendance, in the MVFC. NDSU because of extraordinary achievement is one of the Dakota Big 3: NDSU, SDSU and USD. That establishes them as a program of distinction among the elite in the Dakotas.
On the dark side: NDSU has struggled against MVFC opponents with its most significant victory over Southern Ill.
NDSU does not need fans to peck away at the Liberty College Coach of the Year voting page, promise a potential game with Hawaii or use sketches of a 30,000 seat retractable roof stadium to try and get recruits. We are out-recruting the rest of the North Dakota colleges and Universities based on real factors including university academics, conference, stadium, program tradition, program support, coaching and campus/city. That accounts for NDSU recruiting success among loop teams as well.
Without a doubt NDSU, at least by the haters, can be criticized, but only the ignorant and stupid would simply focus on the few problems and forget about the big picture. By this time next year the MVFC will be realing under the pressure of an unstoppable football team from NDSU.
The past is gone, the present is here and the future lies before us. As NDSU continues its hard work on the practice field, studies the game, maintains a good diet and stays current in their academic studies there will be improvement. In fact there are 4 games left.
Some of you bragging here may find yourselves feeling a little down if the BISON beat you. Others quit the series in a hissy fit and no matter how much they whine they cant get on the Big Stage in Fargo. But winning and losing dont present the same problems for NDSU fans as they do at other schools. At NDSU we understand and practice the highest levels of sportsmanship and wonder how those fans that dont manage to gain the respect of their peers and avoid distractions that interfere with institutional relationships.

That is a classic post JBB, nicely played.
FYI, I promise we (SDSU) will never quit the series in a hissy fit. I think most Jackrabbit fans really like our rivalry with the Bison. Lakes though...

Thats nice and all, but you are in the same conference, so there's not an option.

There will be an option after they move up to a lower level FBS conference. We can be their early season loss to a lower level school

. And yes; I do believe they will move up someday. There is way too much money floating around the state of North Dakota. Besides, most of us do like playing the Bison. Compared to the the hatred between SDSU/USD the NDSU/SDSU rivalry is tolerable. Spirited but tolerable.

The Jacks have stepped up to the plate very nicely with the DI move, hopefully NDSU gives you a good game this year. Coach Stig is to be commended, he's a class act.

Yes Gil, I agree.
The Caughlin Alumni complex is improving too. I like going there better than the FFD, besides it almost 100 miles closer and I have had nothing but fun over the years in Brookings. Win or lose the SDSU and Brookings folks are great hosts!!
Im right on board with Jacksfan29 too.
There has been very little positive, if anything, that has come from playing UND. They have quit in a hissy fit every century. They quit in the 1890s, they quit again from 1906-10 and they quit again in 2003. In the years between there was little if any positive energy coming from that series until it became down right hateful. The UND administration pushed the hate to an unheard of level beginning with the hissy fit and continuing to this day. I just pray the Big Sky swoops in and picks them up.
The MVFC is a competitive place. When down, NDSU will talk up. But when NDSU is up, they will never talk down.

JBB WTH man here I was going to make a smart ass comment and then you go and compliment SDSU. Dammit. I got nothing. I do hold posts in reserve though

What does a person from AGS have to do with NDSU

Re: NDSU clearly owns the MVFC

by JBB
Gil, I think he would be banned for that on AGS!! Here we are discussing the issues surrounding 2 nationally prominent collegiate football teams and some guy from AGS buts in with that remark? I've gone over to AGS and notified the Mods. That should do it for him. The downside is he will be over here more often after his ban takes affect on AGS!!
Dont worry Thumper. Remember where the Jacks will be in a couple weeks. SDSU @ NDSU BISON! No call yet of course, but we do have football programs heading in opposite directions!

Anything to add Thumper?
I did watch the SDSU game yesterday. Both teams looked good. Minet(sp) is one heck of a running back, but ISU brings some talent to the field as well. It was a really fun game to watch. I was hoping SDSU would win because it would have helped make the Marker Game even more important, if thats possible.

I got nothing, I was in San Antonio watching my little brother graduate from basic for the Air Force all weekend. Was very disappointed in the score when I heard it, but I did my best not to let it ruin my weekend. However, now that the week is on, not too happy. I still hope you guys win out up to the marker game, it will make the win in Fargo that much sweeter

Just checked out Bisonville to see what those retards had to say about UND, USD and SUU joining the Sky. What a bunch of backwoods hillbilly know-nothing retards. One poster even went as far to say that UND will win the Big Sky. Really? We'll see but Jesus I doubt that. Same poster said UND will stomp Montana in Missoula on the 13th.
