Will RMU earn a TSN top-25 ranking?

I'm not so sure. Yeah, I think they may deserve it, but based on recent history and their voters' anti-NEC bias, I dobut it happens.
After 8 games last year, CCSU was 2-1 in non-conf play and their only loss was to a ranked CAA team, yet we never broke into the top-25.
2009 CCSU (7-1, 5-0 NEC)
Sep 5 - W at Lehigh, 28-21
Sep 12 - L at #7 William & Mary, 14-33
Sep 19 - Open
Sep 26 - W at Columbia, 22-13
Oct 3 - W vs. Sacred Heart, 24-12
Oct 10 - W vs. Robert Morris, 42-21
Oct 17 - W at Duquesne, 31-24
Oct 24 - W at Bryant, 24-23
Oct 31 - W vs. Albany, 31-29
This season, RMU only has 2 non-conference games and split them - beating a ranked Big South team and losing to a PFL team.
2010 RMU (6-1, 5-0 NEC)
Sep 4 - L at Dayton, 14-28
Sep 11 - W at Sacred Heart, 35-31
Sep 18 - W vs. #15 Liberty, 30-23
Sep 25 - W at Wagner, 30-9
Oct 2 - W at St Francis-PA, 35-14
Oct 9 - W vs. Monmouth, 17-16
Oct 16 - W vs. Albany, 38-0

They're in my top 25. The win over Liberty looks better as LU continues to take care of business. The loss to Dayton doesn't look as bad since the Flyers keep winning.

They are also in my top 25. I think with so many losses by ranked teams this week, they get in.

Yes, I think CS and AGS voters will likely rank RMU (as I think they many may have done with CCSU last year).
IMO, it is the "official" TSN poll or Coaches Poll which is likely to exclude the Colonials.

I have RMU at #24 in my poll. As long as they keep winning it's kind of irrelevant b/c they'll be playing an opening round playoff game Thanksgiving weekend.

They should be. Outside of their loss to Dayton, they've been very impressive.

Yes, they are absolutely a Top 25 team and have been on my ballot for a few weeks now.

Wow.
Duquesne will have the opportunity to beat a ranked team two weeks from now!
GO DUKES!
(and major props to Robert Morris - they're getting it done on the field)

Coupla more wins and it looks like Robert Morris could earn the first ever NEC autobid!

I told you so!
Last season CCSU was in a similar spot and was ignored by TSN voters. This season RMU is getting the shaft.
While I am happy the NEC will get its chance in the playoffs, the fact that the 'official' FCS poll snubs the NEC is a joke.

This is one of the reasons I tend too not like the TSN poll. RMU should be in. The voters in this poll tend to weight conference and past performance too high, imo.

Joe Walton is still one whale of a coach. What he has done with so little is remarkable. Voters need to get over themselves and their hate for any Non-CAA or Big Sky teams.

After a bye week will RMU finally enter the TSN Top-25? They certainly deserve it, but let's see if the TSN voters step up!

Sep 11 - W at Sacred Heart, 35-31
Sep 18 - W vs. #15 Liberty, 30-23

Oct 2 - W at St Francis-PA, 35-14
Oct 9 - W vs. Monmouth, 17-16
Oct 16 - W vs. Albany, 38-0
This Week's TSN Top-25 Results:
#25 Furman (4-3) lost to #24 Chattanooga (36-28)

They've been in my top 25 for a few weeks now.
Considering the cluster**** at the bottom of the polls (well, everywhere in the polls, but especially at the bottom) its hard to justify leaving them off right now.

Sep 11 - W at Sacred Heart, 35-31
Sep 18 - W vs. #15 Liberty, 30-23

You would like to believe that they finally crack the Top 25. I personally would like to see it but if the Colonials beat CCSU then I think there is no way they can't be ranked.

Agreed, but why does RMU have to wait 8 weeks for a ranking? They have deserved to be ranked for the past 3 weeks now. TSN voters have no reason to wait another week!

TSN voters show their true colors regarding the NEC.
I saw this coming weeks ago, but now we are really in a no win situation.
If RMU wins again this week, they likely belong in the 14-19 range, but they aren't even in the poll yet. The best they can really hope for next week is something like 22-25.
And if CCSU wins, RMU will unfairly be considered 'lucky' in their win over Liberty. And of course CCSU will get no respect or ranking despite back-to-back conference championships and a 7-2 record overall, 6-0 in the NEC.
Funny last year's results helps some teams (SCSU and Liberty) in the rankings, but not others (CCSU).

one thing that hurts the NEC regardless of who it is is a lack of exposure outside of the NE. St Fran did well to go to Cal Poly and hang tough with the Mustangs but Id like to see RMU and CCSU and other schools in teh conference (Albany, Bryant, et al) get more games against the likes of Delaware, James Madison, Northern Iowa, App State, SCSU, Liberty (who RMU plays again next year in Lynchburg), Jacksonville, Eastern Kentucky, Southern Illinois, NDSU, etc...if you want to get more respect from the voters, sometimes you have to go where the voters are...

Have you seen the NEC OOC schedules in the last 3-5 years?
