Texas State Season Officially Over!

Our Offense is crap. They will stick with the true freshman come hell or high water and it came tonight. Our defense play lights out (except the OT, what do you expect)

Their first TD came after a muffed KOR on the 12, that they recovered. Easy to get a TD from 12 yds out (except for our O). Our D gave up nothing in the first half.

Griggs has a 77 yd reception that gets us to the 16. Do we score....hell no. We got nowhere and out PK missed a FG..from 16 fucking yds out!!!!!!!!

We get a INT at the 45(ish) and drive to the 20 and stall. Enter our PK who, not to break form, misses from the 20!

Third quarter, we are driving downfield...we are on the 11 and I had waited to hit the restroom. I go in there with us about to score and come back out with us down 14-7. WTF happened I still have yet to figure out.

In the 4th OT, having to get the 2pt conversion, the great QB (who still can not check off his recievers) throws to one who was covered while another is running back and forth in the back of the EZ, waving his arms....wide open.

We have yet to open up the playbook on this kid (6 games in) and they refuse to bring in Hawkins (because then Arndt doesn't get the game experience) Fuck game experience...you're trying to win games here! Every damn team can watch our set of 10-12 offensive plays and be so ready for us it hurts.

I, therefore, officially declare TXST's 2010 football season to be in the shit hole and over

I haven't really studied the subject matter, but in lieu of this proclaimation, should you modify your signature line?

Texas State - We're not rebuilding, we're reloading

I don't get it.

Are you suggesting Texas State hire this gentleman because of his ability to build an atmosphere conducive to successful football teams?

If TXST could put someone like this at the helm, I'd consider them a prize for the CAA. We've been looking for ways to grow, and the only direction I can think for that to happen is via western acquisition. TXST could be a recruiting treasure for the CAA land acquisition.

Yeah but i have to come up with something really appropriate. Give me a day or two.

∞∞∞,
If you saw what I just did I would have to be committed to go around saying any such thing.

Oh, and what happened on that 3rd quarter thing was...we, again, had to settle for a FG, that was blocked and run back for a TD. It's all so pathetic....and even that isn't close to what I am seeing from the O.

Still a TXST fan. Been through worse but we have so damn much talent that isn't clicking...I'm just really pissed right now.

Good point. If the Big East can go after TCU, why not?

The biggest Land-Grab since the Louisianna Purchase may be underway and Tom Yeager 'has the Bridge'.

If TX State won't come on board do you think we could gather the hearts and minds of the fans in Cullowhee? We need fresh blood in the CAA. Cullowhee could be a travel partner for UNCW when they start their football program (inevitable).

Good point. Cullowhee and Wilmington are pretty far apart. You think those schools might play a Neutral Site game in Boiling Springs each fall?

Do you think the Springs has the infrastructure to support an audience that size?

The Taco Bell/KFC could handle catering.

Wow... really blaming our QB? Sorry but with the night he had that's the most asinine thing I've read from the beginning of the game to today. For all of the things that happened last night, quarterback play WAS NOT the issue. Shows how you can be at a game and still be disconnected.

The KID had a great night for just about any QB, overtimes or not: 25/39 for 348 yards, 4TD and 0int. Hardly worth putting the full blame on his shoulders. This game should never have come down to 4 overtimes. That's nowhere near his responsibility. Want him to check off or stare down a defender like a senior or NFL QB, then go out and show him or better yet get him a coach who can.

Blaming offense on a night when we had TWO players have career games = and :wtf: from just about anyone. They did what they needed. Blame the coaches if there weren't enough plays you would have liked to have seen. Oh and if you really want a Wildcat with Hawkins, can you guess exactly what will happen on the defensive side? That's right, they're going to play the run. because any offensive coach would be a damn fool to let him throw the ball. Of course, with the way our staff is showing us, that may not be too far from the truth.

Bcat,

You're reading more into this about Arndt than I said. The only play I had an issue with, was the 2 pt try...if you read my post!

I also said they need to open up the playbook for the kid or use someone who has other parts of that same playbook down. If that entails doing wildcats and him running, so be it. What they are doing isn't working. Everyone is watching our game film and if we think this game was bad, wait until we hit MSU or SFA or SAM.

Even with all everything George we used Wildcats, flea flickers, half-back options and, yes, other QBs at times. It throws off the other teams' D and their game plan against us. We are 6 games into the season.; heading to game 7. They either open it up with him and let him loose or put someone else in, at times, to shake it up. Hawkins, Hill and Garcia all know the playbook and we are still sticking with 10-12 plays that are killing us.

It's a pretty sad commentary when your P is one of your leading rushers :ohno:

I did that once...sort of. I led the team in passing one game with 43 yards.
