Thought I would create thus thread to take some light off the CSU thread. You boys and your shenanigans....Anyways, Liberty WILL win this game decisively. If VMI score more than 6 points, I'll be shocked. My take, LU 52 VMI 3.

I wonder how long Mike Brown stays in the game. Maybe 1 full qtr?

:ohno:

First off, Mike will play to the half.

Second, St. Francis is probably worse than VMI and we were in no position to pull Mike after the first. Remember these things when you get all amped up for a game.

Temper yourselves here, boys.

LU 56
VMI 17

It still won't be close, but VMI at home will give us a few points and it could be close for a quarter or so.

ill say 38-20 based off of recent performances at VMI, where weve scored 38 each of the last few times

They scored 7 at Virginia. It came in the 1st quarter, when UVa presumably still had all their starters in (the TD tied the score at 7). The score was the result of a 7 play, 63 yard drive.

I really don't think it will be THAT lopsided. We'll win; maybe like 35-10

Our new offense has taken longer to get going than I hoped, defense doing a bit better than the past 4-5 seasons.

LU 35; VMI 19

haha I was being sarcastic about MB being in for only 1 qtr. I was just implying he won't be needed long in the game to insure a victory.

Liberty has dominated this series especially the last few years (save the loss in 2005). VMI has been a feast or famine team with the pro-style offense this season scoring 48 in the opener and only scoring more than 10 points once since (24 against Presbyterian). VMI's seniors have never beaten LU (theyve lost by an average of 30.3 points the last three meetings) and and this year will be no different

LU 59
VMI 6

Chris Summers only the 6th player with 50+ catches and 10+ TD's in a season in Big South history, and the season is only just past the half way point.

TD Summers, his 2nd today, and it's 21-0 LU.

Liberty leads VMI 31-0 with less than a minute to go in the first half. Chris Summers has TD catch #3 of the day. He has 12 TDs on the season.

Liberty wins this easily. 41-7. Good overall team effort. ST took huge strides today. P.S. I like the 4 man front.

Sound result. All around good looking game today. I expect the same next week before things get a little tougher the final three weeks. Gotta keep this thing rolling!

Congrats to Liberty for the win..........first half looked like VMI was playing 11 on 13 on offense and defense. Summers is a fine WR, could play for pay on Sunday's. VMI played tentative a bunch in the first half, like they spent too much time thinking and not just playing. And Sparky better start recruiting 6'2" DB's to be more competitive there.

VMI w/2 first downs the first half.

Liberty seem to follow Stony Brook's lead by rushing seven on every play: you'll either stop the run for a two yard gain, or force the VMI QB to an incompletion if not the sack.

At least we didn't give LU three cheap TD's in the 4th qtr. off of turnovers, like what happened in 2009.

Oh, well, on to Chuck South.
