MURRAY, Ky. -- Casey Brockman set school records with 570 passing yards and seven touchdowns as Murray State beat Missouri State 72-59 on Saturday.

With the score tied 59-59 in the fourth quarter, Brockman hit Dexter Barnett on an 18-yard touchdown pass to give the Racers a 65-59 lead after a blocked extra point. Brockman added a 28-yard touchdown pass later in the quarter.

The Racers (2-4) fell behind 21-3 in the first quarter before a 2-yard touchdown run by Brockman cut the deficit to 21-10.

Brockman threw touchdown passes of 21 and 71 yards to Marcus Harris in the second quarter, but a 31-yard touchdown run by Cody Kirby and a blocked punt return for a score extended the Bears (2-3) lead to 38-24.

Kirby ran for 81 yards and four touchdowns for Missouri State.

Harris had nine catches for 213 yards and five touchdowns in the victory for Murray State.

It's all good. We deserve any name calling after that embarrassment.

In what Terry Allen calls his "best team in his 5 years at MSU," he sure hasn't improved in the w/l column.

ODU's not gonna fit in well with the CAA haha. From what I've seen, we like to throw long and deep...a lot. Defense isn't our thing. Who knows, maybe Wilder will spice up the league a bit? I mean I admire defenses, but I like high scoring affairs WAY more. The CAA is kinda dull with that sometimes, even though they've proven they can put up a bunch of points against weak defenses. But when it comes to the heavy-weights goin' up against each other, I've noticed the defenses more than the offenses.

MO St. vs Murray sounded like a fun one though!

Chris Hatcher and bubble screens. Missouri State must have the worst defense of all time.
