ATLANTA - Georgia State got four takeaways on defense and four touchdown passes from Drew Little to pick up its second consecutive blowout win, 55-21 over Savannah State on Saturday at the Georgia Dome. Georgia State (4-2) is now 3-1 this season against schools from the FCS division, and is on its first three-game win streak in school history.

Attendance was announced at 14,908 for Saturday's game. The Panthers will play their second-to-last home game of the season on Saturday, Oct. 16, when they match up with North Carolina Central, the team's second straight opponent from the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, at 1 p.m. at the Georgia Dome.

Was even a worse beating than the score tells. We had second stringers in by the 2nd quarter and 3rd stringers by the middle of the 3rd. Nice to see us finally in a grove.

No disrespect at all but beating Savannah St just proves you're not the worse team in the FCS. Because I really believe Savannah St is the worse....And they never should have scored 21 points on you but with 2nd-3rd stringers I can see why.

2-8 with wins over Livingston and Edward Waters, both of whom went 0-10 that year.....in Division II.

Nah, SSU is bad, and GSU did exactly what they were supposed to. 4-2 in the first year isn't too shabby. Ending up 8-3 isn't out of the question at all, though it should be 9-2.

After 'Bama lost last week the remaining schedule was shown, I saw G-State on the screen
The G State coaches may be charged with reckless indangerment after that one...wow

GSU played and lost a heartbreaker to Wofford this past Saturday...
Georgia State should be ashamed for letting Savannah State score one TD, much less three.
At least GST can take umbrage in knowing that I may have lost the over/under bet for which number would be greater: Muggings outside the dome immediately before, during, and immediately after the game or Sav St points.
Also, now they can proudly pump their chests out as the inaugural winners of the "State of Georgia Who Gives a Fuck Bowl." Maybe they'll get t-shirts and rings...

The Georgia dome's own independent workers scan the tickets and student cards as they enter and then report the number to the school. Game got out of reach early and typical Atl fans leave early

HAHA. I know that is what you want to think how attendance is reported, but I know for a fact that isn't true.
They use those numbers for their plannings for the future, but in terms of announced and reported to the NCAA I would bet 14K means maybe 11K paid, and maybe 10k on the very high side in attendance.

ODU has had convicing victories over bad teams? Not all of them, really. It would be an upset for Georgia State to beat ODU, but it's not out of the question, hence my wording.

HAHA. How do you know for "fact", when you clearly sound uncertain and you "bet" a number means something else? Yeah, I should take you seriously. What incentive does the school have in not telling the truth about attendance numbers.
I bet you were one of those people who still believes we didn't put 30k in the seats at the first game. Give it a break b/c it's not that serious for a school to make up lies.

Long story short I know how reporting of numbers to the NCAA works. I know what actual attendance vs. announce attendance is. I've worked in a university ticket office, I've sat in on meeting about this very thing.
I can tell you that announced attendance is, depending on the sport, 1000-3000 higher than actual attendance.
Schools like App State, UD, and Montana may have a harder time "fudging" numbers to the NCAA than a team that draws 8-14k in a 70K seat stadium, or even a team that draws 14K in a 17K seat stadium.
You don't have to believe me, but this is just one of the "dirty little secrets" of reporting numbers to the NCAA

Oh, and in the announced attendance schools also count EVERYBODY in the stadium not just fans.
That means players, officials, coaches, trainers, media, EMT's, security, tech. people, etc...

ODU uses the same number every game so far "the stadium's capacity" we don't add the support staff, players etc. Guess that makes up for no-shows. No school reports butts in seats, nobody.
