Portland State at Montana State

Kickoff scheduled for 1:30 pm MDT (12:30 pm PDT---so early considering the wife and I closed the karaoke bar last night. Very tired) from Bozeman. A game featuring two new exciting quarterbacks in the conference in Connor Kavanaugh for the Vikings and Denarius McGhee for the Bobcats. The Vikings beat Idaho State last week in their conference opener and stand 1-0 in the conference and 2-2 overall (both losses to Pac-10 schools). The Bobcats had what seemed as a comfortable halftime lead at Sacramento State last week, only to see the Hornets come back storming in the third quarter. The Bobcats did pull it out in overtime, but the game showed that no lead is safe in the Big Sky. They enter the game with a conference leading 2-0 record, with their other win at home against Eastern Washington. Overall, the Bobcats are 4-1, with the only loss happening on a last minute field goal against Pac-10 Washington State. The Vikings last win over Montana State was a 44-41 shootout in Portland in 2005. Bobcats hold a 9-2 edge all time in Bozeman. Weather should be sunny and windy with temps in the 60's.

Had to run and get the wife some lunch. Bad thing about the early start. I guess Akbar had a TD run for the Bobcats.

Damn, I thought PSU could pull that one off. Not sure if there's really anyone left on MSU's schedule that's going to be able to beat them.

They go to Flag-Town next week. Playing 7000ft in the air against that NAU team may give them fits.

I know someone who is just about guaranteed to beat MSU.

(Well, if there's any such animal as a guarantee, anyway....)
