BSB, he has been doing these for a while now using the poll feature. It was his idea and a pretty cool one because even those that don't throw up a prediction in writing will choose between the poll options and give you a look at what the masses are thinking with a visual. Why do these kind of threads bother you? You've protested before and in fact protest more than anybody else I've seen here when it comes to this kind of stuff.

I ain't a big fan of board clutter either with garbage threads but heck these are no big deal to me and are similar but just different enough that I can see the reason for it.

C'mon man, don't gripe at people for this stuff unless they are doing it to be a dick and then I'll be right there with ya shoulder to shoulder on it. :thumb:

I actually like it. I can actually become a true Portland State fan and not try to rationalize why I would pick PSU over MSU (in this thread, anyway :D ). A true fan pick.

ww is a good boy. He and I went at it pretty good back in 2008 when he arrived on the scene and I'll admit...he could be if he wanted to. Hell he may have been the vote for ISU even but you couldn't fault a guy fro that vote cuz they always take us through the mud.

He doesn't do these threads with anything more than discussion & fun in mind though. I'm pretty sure on that.

I would hardly call SuperHornet's thread a prediction thread. It is more of an attempt to be the spotlight of attention. Not only that, but his picks are lacking any... logical basis.

I like this thread, it is an easy to way to show who is favored and what people think without those same people having to type out their reasoning.

Montana over clearly the worst team in the league for several years running is illogical?

A resurgent Hornet squad at homecoming against the SECOND worst team in the league is illogical?

I'll grant that NAU-EWU will be somewhat close to a pick 'em game.

The one league game where you have ANY ground to stand on with that remark, 2506, is the one involving your Kitties. While I expect you to be loyal to your school (anyone would expect you to be), given PSU's offensive output against FCS foes this season, the possibility -- nay, PROBABILITY -- of a PSU win is EMINENTLY logical.

Try again, Kitten.

nope wasn't me. i actaully didn't vote until just now. i usually wait a day or so before i vote. i dont want to be the first voter.

basically everything Ursus said is accurate regarding his 2 posts.

Sometimes its just nice to see a poll if you dont feel like reading all the comments or just a quick way to add your own :twocents:

But why would you need multiple threads about the same subject? It's just a pet peeve of mine.

As I was trying to get at...they all have the same subject at hand, but they all have a different function or tenor to them.

Don't let that little shit bother ya, just hop in with a comment on the games and roll with it.

Not picking on ya but the negative comes through loud & clear when you could just jump into the mix and state your opinion on the matter or just vote for what you think is gonna happen.

Did you take a look at the poll results? I like seeing it laid out that way.

I put my usual thread of predictions on one of these other threads (I think it was week 2) and got a few angry PM's because people couldn't find them. That is why I've been making my own thread like I used to. I may be conceited but I didn't think I had that much clout that people wanted to know where they were. I thought that some sort of wordage along the lines of "BIG SKY PREDICTIONS" would be enough, whether I set it up or someone else. But if some people want mine to be in its own thread, I'll do it there. It does make me feel wanted.

You've been doing your stuff for years. You've carved a nice niche and have a lot of people that want your threads. In fact the only thing that annoys me is when some fucking Johnny come lately tries to upstage your dealio. I won't open them until yours is up. WW did something different and it's cool and hopefully he'll keep it up as well.

SH's is the exact same idea as yours with one VERY POWERFUL difference. That crazy SOB has no problem letting emotion sneak into his picks. He does his based on what his heart wants, not what most view as reality. SH, as far as I can tell is pretty much the polar opposite of me and for that reason alone I fucking love seeing what he comes up with. The crazy bastard...I love him.

A little surprised so many people are picking us to drop this one. NAU will undoubtedly be a much tougher test than Weber, but we did prove last week that we can win without TJ, and on the road - contrary to what many of the pundits predicted.

NAU will be a hard nut to crack, to be sure, but I like how our defense is playing right now and the game is at home. And although this one is really a toss-up, I'll give us the slight edge - I think EWU will be up for this game big time. In a low-scoring contest, EWU 24, NAU 21

As far as the other ones go:

ISU 3 @ UM 48 - Really a no-brainer

Northern Colorado 14 @ Sac State 31 - Sac is hungry after almost knocking off both Montana schools. UNC has yet to impress.

Portland State 28 @ MSU 24 - I'll get some flack for this one, but MSU is ripe for a let-down and also has some notable injuries on both sides of the ball. PSU will be able to move the ball on MSU. If they can limit McGhee and get a couple of TO's, they have a good chance of winning.

NAU - EWU game will depend on how much TJ plays. NAU will keep the rest of our offense in check, but unless they take him out of the game, you can't really shut down TJ. The Jacks offense is lacking. EWU 21, NAU 17.
