Made the trip up to Fresno last weekend.. Turnout was great, almost the same attendance (300 less)than the season opener vs.Cincinatti.

There is a very long history between Fresno State and CP football though.

Didn't the NCAA ban eye black with messages?

Yes.

The young man's father was in his barbershop a week from last Thursday in New Iberia, LA. Four armed men came into the shop to rob him and his customers. They ended up killing his father.

If I was an official at that game, I'm certainly not going to be the one to tell the young man he had to take those off. It's not like he was adverstising some product.

It just hurts me to see the sorry in his eyes when looking at that picture. He did play a very good game and is just a true freshman.

This one of Steven Whitehead in 2008 was a TD.

Sorry to hear that. The officials are completely right in letting him keep it on...it's a stupid rule anyways.

Great pics, but why are the helmets so beat up? Delaware doesn't buff out/smooth/paint the helmets after every game?

No they don't, and I personally do not like it. Bandl probably does though.

Our highest visibility game last year was against Navy and the helmets looked really bad in HD. One of our running backs, Jerry Butler, had the whole right half of his wing missing before kickoff. :ohno: It has to be a conscious decision on somebody's part, because it's not like the program is hurting for money. Hell, I'd paint the helmets for free if they would waive my UDAF donation requirement. :D

Are you two nancy boys kidding me!?! Why would you want to buff out your battle scars? The guy lining up against you sees those scars and knows he's about to get hit in the teeth. :ohno: :ohno: :ohno:

Why wouldn't I like it? You are supposed to use your body as a spear when tackling, and your head/helmet is the point of that spear. I don't want my opponent to be able to see his pretty little reflection in my helmet, I want him to see the blood and teeth marks from his teammate who I just destroyed. :thumb:

Metaphorically speaking, of course. :coffee:
