Just a quick question about JMU...but why are they still so high according to most of you pollsters? They've scored 20 points in their last two games, both at home. One of those was a mediocre opponent at home. And the other team would have scorched JMU by a few more TDs if their starting QB wasn't made of puppy parts (I keed, I keed). It's one thing to hang with the #5, but it's another thing to lose at home to that #5 with their second string QB playing. I just thought they would have dropped quite a bit further when all things are considered.

...and VT is on a nice little win streak in the FBS to boot.

Watched most of that last game and I think they dropped to 5 on mine but they play pretty good defense and I just think they are struggling on offense but they are still better than most of the teams out there. There were a few things that didn't go their way that would have had them winning that game as well. They still look a great team that could fix a couple things and run the table to me.

Yea, I think (hope... )we're a couple of offensive fixes away from being ready to make a run.

Unfortunately I haven't had the pleasure of watching the UD game, nor the Liberty game. I had to resort to play-by-plays on my cell phone. So I obviously don't have all the facts needed to come to a logical and sound opinion....do I ever though? :?
I wish I had the time to submit a poll (i.e., study all results/standings/etc.)....just not possible unless the due date was moved back to Monday noonish. Oh well. :ohno:

I thought there was a little action on that a couple weeks ago?

If not, and you have time to poke it in by 10p your time I could send you the "recap" type thing I make up on Sunday mornings and if you use that and look the google doc that siuham does then it would cut the hours of looking the info. up yourself. Hell, I'm already going through each score anyway. Let me know.

I recall the discussion, but I don't recall the resolution.
To be honest, I would not do the poll any favors. I'm not the most knowledgeable pollster by any means, but I have always tried take the time to submit a well thought out poll in the past. But the fact of the matter is I simply don't know what's going on in the FCS world right now (honestly...I just had to look up the MSU/Sacred City score about an hour ago, and I had no idea SDSU was 0-4...or is that NDSU? See what I mean.... ). I'm busy the next 4 sundays anyways and I've got other things I have to give my priorities to....I plan on being back next year. :thumb:

Yea, that's why I don't submit one anymore. Just not enough time.

I really thought our offense was improved against Delaware, they are just a much better defense than Liberty. Luckily we've got Townson Collage and UNH (who looks down, but you never know) coming up.

Mostly a benefit of the Va Tech game and being where they've been. They lost to my #2 team this week, and I had them at 4. It was close, and I only dropped them 2 spots. Yes, they lost against the back-up QB for Delaware, but that speaks more to Delaware's defense than it does JMU being poor in any area. JMU may very well end up in the 15-25 range by the end of the season, but they could remain top 10 too. JMU has a brutal 5 week stretch after this week, so ask about their ranking in Week 12 :D

Me too. I had them #1, then dropped them to #5 (probably a bit harsh) after losing to my #3 team. :coffee:

We have two VERY close losses to ranked in-conference opponents and a better offensive performance against a high bowl-bound FBS team than two other FBS teams and we don't even get a WHIFF of the Top 25? And Liberty just BARELY gets in while running away with the Big South? (OK, I'm exaggerating a bit there, but they ARE in a dominant position right now....)

This poll is jacked!

Sac lost to two FCS teams and beat exactly one. 1-2 doesn't deserve to be in the top 25 currently.

Liberty beat two teams that have 1 win and 8 losses between them.

You should stop being so angry. They're making an ESPN for women!

This is exactly why I couldn't rank them. Their opponent records is terrible or they have one FCS win in the 5 weeks of the season.

I had Liberty at 26 and Sac State fell out of my poll. I had them at 25 last week but you lost, well the loss didn't hurt them as much as giving up 64 points did. Oh and yes I dropped MSU for giving up 61 to CSU-S

Key words there SH, they LOST those games. You and your fucked up logic will never make a bit of sense to me. You don't get ranked by losing games even it's close. You get ranked by WINNING games. This isn't women's football where you get an atta boy for suiting up. Do whatever you gotta do to get your head right Nancy.

Just throwing this out there...but according to whoever makes the final decision concerning the GOTW for week 6, it is #1 Delaware vs. #19 Wofford. They aren't even on each others' schedule, so this is pretty baffling.
