VMI as the BSouth auto won't happen, but VMI is the only team with a Big South win so far. It was over Presby, and the game was tied most of the way, but it was a win.

Having Jax. State as an at large but the no. 3 doesn't make sense. If they fail to win the OVC, they're not a seed. And if they do fail to win the OVC at the hands of SEMO, and SEMO runs the table, SEMO should probably get the 5th seed.

Hampton as the MEAC team? Ehhhhh. SC State getting in as an at large and NOT winning the MEAC? No. Not going to happen. Their OOC was terrible, if they lose a MEAC game they're done.

Regardless, seems a little better than TSN's... but not a lot.

Better? This is the nobrain.com projection.

VMI (Big South)
Hampton (MEAC)
McNeese St. (Southland)

NONE of those teams will be autos (or at-larges).

Yes, there's no brain being used. However, TSN has to use some brain to come up with the stupid stuff they do every week. I'd prefer someone to keep it TOO simple than to be a blatant idiot.

What the fuck? WIU winning the MVFC, fine I can see how people may think that with their start. However, only ONE MVFC team in the playoffs, and no other teams from the conference even on the bubble?

Who put this crap together?

Was this done by a computer? I mean with VMI having the only conference win I'm assuming that's how that happened...

I didn't notice that...

But the MVFC missed out thanks to a second OVC and a second MEAC team... basically.

Holy shit, I didn't get past the autos to see how bad this was. I should also add that JSU is the OVC champ until they actually get beaten. WAFJ.

So the OVC and MEAC are now better than the MVFC?

HOLY CRAP... it gets even WORSE. Now I looked at the actual bracket... JSU loses the OVC but goes in as an at-large with a #3 seed!   :dunce:

Erik, you're wasting bandwidth. He should have his website taken away from him.

Selecting the Field
Every week's bracket is based on an "If the season ended today" mindset. The ten automatic bids are just that: automatic. Whichever team is atop the standings of each of the ten auto-bid conferences at the end of the week receives a bid. Expectedly, teams on top of conference standings early in the season often are not in the same spot come Selection Sunday. The other ten bids, the at-large selections, are simply the teams I believe to be the best remaining in the country. Keep in mind again this is not a prediction of what I think the brackets will look like in late November, but rather an organized projection of deserving teams week to week.
The bracket is obviously a little meaningless at this point under these guidelines, seeing as the Big South and Southland conferences have each only played one conference game thus far.

He states something like whoever is leading the conference, at this point, is his champion (for right now) for the conference. So McNeese gets it because them and SAM have 1 win in conference and no other games have been played. Yet, he has TXST and SFA in there, who have not won a conference game yet (because we haven't had one)

Using this methodology, the NFL playoffs bracketology is:

AFC
1 Chiefs
2 Texans
Pats @ 3 Ravens
Steelers @ 4 Jets

NFC
1 Falcons
2 Bears
Packers @ 3 Redskins
Saints @ 4 Cardinals

That's right - the Bears, Redskins and Cards will be HOSTing playoff games.

Did I just blow your mind? :)

If that's the bracket then Delaware essentually gets 2 bye weeks.
